I did the initial application process and received an email back promptly. I was told by a leasing consultant after explaining my situation (some issues with my credit, nothing major) that if I went ahead and paid the application fees for both me and my potential roommate, and if denied, and agreed to pay a full month in advance if needed, my application could be overridden. So I went in, paid $325 for the process, only to be contacted via email by the property manager (can't remember her name) with the foreseen denial. I called back to speak with the leasing consultant (name withheld) only to immediately be put on the phone with the property manager. She was very adamant that she made the decision, and that it was final. She was really nasty, to say the least, wouldn't even put the leasing consultant on the phone. I own my home where I live, and have owned 2 homes in the last 5 yrs(sold one to move back to SC to help my mom out after my dad passed) and needed a place closer to my work than the 4 hrs drive I e way.
Anyway, the fees I paid in are not being sent back after being lied to on the phone, coaxed into spending the $325 for the application fees and such by being told they can be overridden as long as we paid a month in advance to which I had NO issue.
Just saying to anyone looking at this place for potential housing to be careful and be wary. I personally feel as if with the Intel given prior to filing the application, they could have been more forthcoming and truthful. Don't get conned.

I have lived here going on 2 years and I love it here. It’s quiet close to lots of food places and grocery stores nearby. Management is super helpful and will work with you to help resolve any issues! Heather has always been great to me and my family. I look forward to staying here until I’m ready for a house 😊

We have had a Stellar experience with the two wonderful people Heather & Shannon in the property management/rental office. They certainly made our transition to Oakbrook Village a wonderful experience. Both woman are professional and very attentive to what our rental needs were. The whole package, from the impeccably kept grounds, to the size and very well maintained apartments certainly speak volumes about the management. The parking lot is very well lit at night as are the breezeways.
We’re very happy living here and give Oakbrook Village a high recommendation.

My wife and I moved in about a year ago and I was very hesitant because of all the negative reviews. I’ve been pleasantly surprised that we’ve had no issues. If you follow the rules (park where you’re supposed) understand the terms of your contract you shouldn’t have any issues. The apartments are very spacious and very reasonably priced. My only complaints have been the trash situation which isn’t managements fault but rather lazy residents that again don’t follow the rules (how hard is it to put your trash in the compactor?). The exterior and breezeways could use a fresh coat of paint but that’s really it. Maintenance is prompt and management is courteous.
Update: We moved out after living there 3 years. I know there are a lot of negative reviews regarding the move out process. Again this wasn’t our experience. We had no issues. They were actually really helpful during this time because our move out date was a moving target with COVID and my new job. There was a erroneous charge after we moved out and after contacting the property manager it was taken care of. We loved our time there.

First let me address a few of the negative comments:
While we don't like towing, understandably if you are in a handicap space no matter where you live or shop you will be towed. This is standard protocol no matter where you are.
As far as corp units, the reality is that everyone is held to the same standard. We don't allow anyone to be loud, disruptive or park additional vehicles on the property. Notices were sent out to everyone concerning the parking issues and asked not to have more than one vehicle per leaseholder. In addition we have created more spaces and again anyone in a corp unit is not allowed to have more that one vehicle per bedroom.
I understand everyone's concerns and I know that issues arise, however we do try and ensure everyone is treated fairly, that issues are addressed in a timely fashion and that everyone complies by the rules.
We do over garages if there is a need, so that you can be guaranteed a parking space.
