chile im about to list every problem I've had since I've moved here. I'm so glad my lease is up in 3 months. I knew I was going to have problems when they told me I would be living in the back complexes instead of the front. Was told last minute my apartment wasn't ready. 1. if you're scared of bugs don't move here. I continuously see roaches. The issue is becoming worse and worse each day. Idk if the neighbors or dirty or they’re coming from the pipes… but this is ridiculous. I’m literally scared to fall asleep sometimes. I see earwigs sometimes. I use to see huge cockroaches/waterbugs. 2. You have to beg the leasing office for a response. I call, no answer. Email, they answer a couple times then go ghost. It's absolutely ridiculous. 3. LEAKS. My upstairs neighbors toilet overflowed THREE TIMES in my stay here. I've had to throw away my things each time. It left a terrible mildew smell and it took them almost a month to come fix the ceiling even though they marked it as complete. When I first moved in my bathroom and kitchen sink had a leak every week. had to beg for that to get fixed. 4. Cabinets have pieces of wood and paint coming off. 5. It wasn't clean when I moved in, and the previous people left some of their stuff in here and you could tell by the smell it wasn't clean. 6. 1 pay 1300+ for a one bedroom for the doors to have paint coming off and for it to not even be a Normal door. 7. You can hear everything the walls are so thin and you can hear every footstep from above. I requested to be transferred in a new apartment and got ghosted. My upstairs neighbors always fight and let their kids bump and jump around. 8. Air filters have never been changed. In my last apartment they came in and changed the vents or filters (not sure what they’re called but they have never came here and did that and they are so dusty. 9. Frame was coming off the mirror when I first moved in. 10. You can tell the apartment is old. The cabinet doors have came off. I pay 1300 for a 1bed bed and don't have a microwave..! have sliding doors instead of normal doors.its very dusty. The walls just look dirty. 11. Tub constantly drips. And it has a black ring and/or rust around it even when cleaned.12. I seen a RAT at the trash dump.... 13. I have to turn certain switches on/off just for the WiFi to work??and for certain appliances to work. Never had this issue until moving here. 14. Rent is 1300 and I couldn’t get a microwave… I regret moving here. They just care about collecting their check and going home. They pick and choose who and what to respond to. I would never ever come back here

Just wanted to share that Jesse, Manager, is truly a gem! She is so kind, caring and compassionate. I appreciate how she listens attentively to concerns and doesn't let go of a problem until it is fully resolved. Jesse's ability to follow up promptly and stay committed to finding a solution to my concerns is invaluable. Jesse is a great asset to the community!

Living at The Laurel Apartments in Spartanburg, SC was a nightmare. From the very first day I moved in, I was subjected to harassment by another tenant. I felt like I was in prison; we couldn't even move around freely because neighbors would file complaints—and this was just for normal, everyday activity. I never felt at home there. From day one, there were problems with one of the bathrooms. The apartment was infested with cockroaches. I called to request that they send someone to fumigate the unit, yet the cockroach problem persisted. Every single month, I bought bug bombs and other products to try and get rid of the cockroaches, but I was never successful. The lock on my bedroom door was broken, and I ended up trapped inside—unable to get out—all night long, until someone finally came the next day to let me out. I bought a house and broke my lease early. When I went to give them the 60 days' notice they require, they told me I would have to pay two months' rent—specifically stating that rent was the *only* thing I would have to pay (meaning, not counting the additional fees typically paid on top of the base rent). There was absolutely no damage to my apartment. Now, however, they are trying to charge me over $4,000 for alleged damages to the unit. I do not recommend these apartments to anyone. I have spoken with other people who used to live there—and some who still do—and they have all told me that they are unhappy living in that place.DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!

I have waited to write this for months. I was on the fence but since things have come to this. I ended my lease at the last week of renewal for a huge reason...MOLD. I did several tests and Dr's. (My child got very sick! And they tried to say it wasnt from that. But assure you it was. My child is doing much better. )Yet. They said no mold was in the apartment. Only because they found no "water". They clearly know nothing about mold.mold needs water to form not to live. We had plenty of leaks. Theses apartments use to be nice but They are rock bottom. They lie. Don't care about anything but rent. And very overpriced. Good Luck.
