We made them very aware of the fact that we could not move forward with the purchase until we sold our house. We were not allowed to put in a contingency clause.The salesperson (Ryan) assured us that if our house did not sell that we would not be obligated to go through with the Ryan Homes purchase …. His words “Ryan Homes can not stay in business by taking peoples money” needless to say our house has not sold yet and RyanHomes told us to finance the Ryan Homes house (would give us 2 mortgages) I refused to have 2 mortgages so when we were unable to close on the closing date Ryan Homes decided to keep our $5,000 earnest money …..very unethical practices. We would to hear from Ryan Homes home office that this their way of doing business.
