  I love this complex, the space of the apartment is great, our new neighbors are very friendly and quiet, even we were off to a bumpy start - no move goes completely seamless …. My fiancée and I are loving it here. The office staff are so kind and helpful, maintenance is responsive and knowledgeable… I’m happy we chose to make our home here. We plan on being here for years to come.

  The place is renovated, but it doesn’t seem like it was done very well. Paint looks bad in many places and looks like it was used to cover up things that should have been completely replaced. Kitchen countertops were not finished until a few days after I moved in. My cat and I had to stay out of the apartment for the whole day after they were finished because of the fumes. I have seen many bugs since moving in. I’ve woken up to dead roaches in the middle of the living room and I had a live roach fall out of the vent in the ceiling in the living while I had family visiting. Also came across dead spiders and found a centipede in my shower. There’s also an extremely bright LED light right outside my bedroom window that stays on all night long. I bought blackout curtains and the light still comes through and lights up my bedroom at night. Also, the screens on the windows don’t fit properly, so there’s gaps where bugs can get in, so I can’t even leave my windows open for long. I have not had a great experience since moving in and I hope to terminate my lease soon.

  Miss Madison and Miss Kary were excellent help I'm in another state I viewed the apartment once last year with a friend liked it they made my process so easy and worked with me very friendly highly recommend for people who are moving out of state

  They built these apartments very well - not only meant to last, but also the sound proofing between apartments is great! Best thing here is location, especially that there is now a Harris Teeter right next door and more stores are being built nearby. Maintenance is next, they are amazing! Always quick to resolve any issues. Pest control is worth the monthly fee - I had roaches upon move-in, as some people don’t clean up on the way out, but thankfully they got rid of them quickly! The reason for the 4 stars is that this is a large corporate complex, hence a lack of clear, honest communication. You won’t get empathetic, human assistance and if anything goes wrong outside of regular maintenance, you won’t get any discounts anywhere (even if the pool is closed for extended periods). You will get the corporate scripted responses if you try to complain - because there is no real place for tenants to vent grievances, it all goes back to one place. Only in a practical emergency like health and/or safety, will the higher-ups be willing to step in. Other than that, you are on your own so make sure to READ your lease! Don’t skip over it. I don’t blame the managers in the office, as they are only doing their job and are part of the Corporate Cog. When all is said and done, Polo’s is a nice apartment complex to live at and most tenants are warm and friendly.
