Disappointing experience that doesn't match their high rating.
I want to preface this by saying that Shana in the leasing office is wonderful. She was professional, kind, and genuinely apologetic. She deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, the property’s management practices and automated systems deserve 1 star.
As a navy active duty personnel looking for a nice place to move in within a very short period, I was initially drawn to Coventry Green because of its great reputation—specifically the impressive 4.6-star average from over 260 reviews on Google. It was one of the main reasons I chose to apply, and I was genuinely excited to make this community my home.
Unfortunately, my actual experience with their leasing office fell far short of that standard.
I received a written quote from their system specifically for Unit 2316 (a 3-bedroom), which explicitly included a "Move-in special! One month free rent" right below the unit's pricing. Based on this written offer, I paid the application fees and was approved.
However, during the final steps, management suddenly told me the special only applied to 2-bedroom units. When I then pointed out my concern—that if I were to pay another $150 to apply for a 2-bedroom, I could easily be denied again under the same vague "restrictions apply" excuse—the communication from the staff over the phone became unexpectedly tense, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. My advice: If you interact with Valeris, take anything she says with a grain of salt unless it is explicitly in writing. The staff is nice as long as you don't question their deceptive practices, but once you politely call out their misleading quotes, all professionalism disappears.
I have stopped my move-in process for now. I honestly expected much better customer service and pricing transparency from such a highly-rated property. I hope management can improve the accuracy of their quotes and train their team to handle reasonable applicant concerns more professionally, rather than taking it out on the applicant.
