- AHAlice HuangAug 27, 20251.0I used to visit this property on a daily basis and on the lucky days, I would see Walter the alligator. Usually he’d be sunning himself on a bank peacefully. Sometimes I’d find him in the water. I used to think Daniel Island Village was the best, with all this natural beauty. Then the property sent someone to kill Walter on the spot. I can’t imagine how traumatizing it must have been to the residents who had to witness it. Walter was loved by many.
- DLD LAug 20, 20251.0Don’t give your money to a company that is willing to needlessly kill animals for their bottom line. Alligators are everywhere and simply because they move from pond to pond or sun themselves in plain sight does not mean they will come anywhere near you when they have not been trained by unlawful feeding to do so. This beautiful island will loose in natural charm if we continue to clear wetlands and destroy not only natural habitats, but the animals that are trying to adapt to their only option of living in the limited spaces they have left.
