Baker, graduates of the University of South Carolina Law School, who both practiced practical law for several years prior to starting the business. The partners began developing office buildings throughout the East Coast for General Motors Acceptance Corporation, Western Union, Western-Southern Life Insurance Company, Life of Virginia and Southern Bell.
