  Since yesterday, the property manager reached out and has apologized and assured us that action is being taken and the property will be cleaned up ASAP. He indicated he would have acted sooner had he known - and I trust he did not know - the condition which points back to Atlantic Retail who was made aware of the situation well over 4 weeks ago. I appreciate his sense of urgency given the severity of the situation but in my humble this should have never reached this point to begin with. Negligent Property Ownership – Completely Irresponsible Management Baker and Baker Real Estate Development, based in Columbia, SC, owns a property behind my home in Asheville that has been left in a state of absolute neglect. The land is deteriorating rapidly, overrun by trespassers, littered with debris, and now poses both serious safety and health risks to the surrounding community and residents. The property was cleaned up once but has returned to a state far worse than before and continues to deteriorate. The property was cleaned up 1 time yet returned to a condition far worse than before. Despite multiple outreach attempts—and the involvement of their leasing agent, Atlantic Retail who by the way has a 1.4 star rating - who also failed to take meaningful action - Baker and Baker has done nothing to address the situation. The property is now not only a community eyesore, but a hazard that is actively reducing nearby home values and putting families at risk.
