My John Wieland home is a dream come true. My total experience from inception to living here for one year already has been nothing but outstanding.

Best value on deep water in Charleston. Very happy with the quality of construction and the layout of the neighborhood. Great Lowcountry living!

1-18 Update: None of the people who are giving them five stars actually live in the neighborhood. It’s all realtors so take that with a grain of salt. Warranty process is absolutely horrible! Had water intrusion and put in a ticket 12-18 and still nothing! My actual neighbors have had similar experiences as well. Again, highly suggest staying away! Closed at the end of March 2023 and still wouldn’t recommend this community to anyone looking. In fact I’ve steered several of my local friends away from this community. While I’m sure the house will be fine, at this price point most houses will be. I usually pay for experience and this wasn’t it! From the jump, our salesperson Billy Amerson was a condescending smart-aleck. Initially I brushed it off as his horrible attempt at being witty but in the end I ceased all communication with him because truthfully he’s not in the know. He legit just repeats canned statements and isn’t aware of anything actually going on with your home. We had a great construction manager initially - Race Jones - he moved to a different company and we got Justin Miller. This is where the issues began. During our pre drywall inspection he casually mentioned a major change to our home layout, when I asked why the change (we bought the model and it didn’t have this modification) he said “ummmm idk, I didn’t review the plans.” We asked our agent to investigate and the first thing Billy says is “we can make changes to the home as needed.” Billy should do his job and read the contract - in fact no changes can be made that alter the sq footage of the home. See my point about Billy not being in the know? Justin knew about this change weeks before he mentioned it to us, but failed to inform us during his non-sense weekly updates. I escalate to his mgr Ben Snider who did nothing then eventually to Dave Abbante (sic) who equally did nothing. Finally, I got ahold of Chris Walton who finally got the ball rolling. Horrible communication unless it’s to sell you their mortgages, or insurance, etc. Our home was completed for weeks prior to closing and had gone through their internal quality control processes but the inspection still found unpainted spindles, and literal holes in the wall. Make your own informed decision but I will absolutely say Billy, Dave and Ben aren’t good to work with and get 0/10 from me. I will say the folks we worked with at the design center were pleasant and knowledgeable.
