Great homes. Terrible agent/ Poor communications, total lack of product knowledge, cannot even estimate the cost of add-ons… They just keep passing the Buck down the road Hoping someone else will be able to provide the information, but after it’s too late. Once you sign the contract, they do not want to talk to you! If you have any questions or concern about the build quality, or spot an issue that needs to be resolved immediately, you’re not allowed to talk to the builder in fact you’re not even told his name or how to contact him. There’s nothing transparent about this process. They act like a bunch of bullies! Build quality is pretty good, but the trim carpentry is so far below high-quality that you cannot even label it a substance. You have to watch them every step of the way, for instance, if you can’t see it, they’re not gonna paint it. Be sure to check under bathroom panties, above the cabinets, and side pantries. There are small areas that can be improved upon for the convenience of customers, but they have now desired to make it better for you. For example, in the master bathrooms where they can create shelves between the end of the vanity and where the shower ends is a 18 inch gap the sheet rocked over. Since there’s not much storage in these houses, that would be a great area in which to put washcloths, or shaving cream or other items that just end up on the bathrooms. I mean, put wash clause or a little vase of flowers. The builders avoid customers so much that they stay in their pick up trucks and hide throughout the day. They really do not want to interact with people who are buying $500,00 million homes. The builder needs to take responsibility for bringing in 12 feet of clay on some of the lots. This results in a Great amount of water, not just moisture, but outright puddles of water . Dig a hole ear issues and a little rapidly filled with water and has nowhere to go because of the density of the clay. No, we should’ve brought in 3 feet of topsoil. Just one of those things— that if you’re not looking, they’re gonna cut corners. Walk out the front door when it rains and your head will get drenched in water. The first day after moving in, I was told that I should buy gutters. An inexpensive drip edge during the construction process would have Prevented this problem. Landscaper is pathetic. Hey James, bushes around the foundation that will become 18 feet tall and 16 feet wide. A plants maple tree within 15 feet of the house and those should be 40 feet tall with the spread of 30 feet, which means one day the branches will scrape the shingles off the roof. Again, this was probably designed by Toll Brothers to make the house look good, but is detrimental to the long range quality of the Home a build and Investment and. the neighborhoods DRIVEWAY! They built the most ridiculous driveways. They have a standard pad, then they have a little side parking pad with a curb in it, which prevents one from accessing it unless you drive over the lawn.. It may look cute and attractive, but already people Are driving over the front lawn to park on the driveway because the HOA does not allow overnight parking on the streets. In fact, the builder put up no parking signs, which I’m told by the Charleston Ciyu Police Department, is illegal for them to put signs up that are not authorized. Policeman have a book that indicates the areas in which Legitimate no parking signs and where no parking is enforced. Again, Toll Brothers being a Bully! They put up no parking signs, the realtor told me, so that homeowners would not park on the streets and get in the way of construction workers. SO ARROGANT! I pay to live there, whereas construction workers get paid to work. Let them walk the very few days they are there.
