  Great place to live. Nice pool, gym, and clubhouse. Lots of walking paths around the property. Very friendly staff and attentive maintenance team that promptly handled any issues that came up. Spacious, clean apartments. Different food trucks each week as well as other events in the clubhouse were great as well. Spent a year here, and overall would recommend!

  My husband and I moved to Charleston in July 2025. We absolutely love living here at Heyward. The office staff, Robin and Michaela, are friendly and responsive. The grounds crew does a wonderful job keeping the community clean and maintained. The property is certainly one of the most beautiful that I have lived; the lush trees, ponds, walking path, and dog park are pristine. The community is conveniently located off 17 but also feels tucked away and private. They host a lot of events plus a food truck every Thursday!

  Really lucked out on this place! Front office staff are rockstars at their jobs & great with communication. Plus they schedule activities for the community to come together which makes this place feel like home. Maintenance is on the ball as well; the grounds/amenities are kept pristine and any requests are handled efficiently. Great place for dog owners- walking trail, ample waste stations, free treats in the clubhouse, and a great dog park with friendly dogs. Pros: New/updated units, clean quiet property, great parking, great free coffee, friendly neighbors, covered mailboxes, gas fire pit, gas grills, clean pool, clean gym, large clean dog park, free car wash with vacuum. Close to Waffle House, Costco, Publix, Walgreens, Parker's/other gas stations, West Ashley Greenway and Stono Park. Cons: The guest parking might be far from your unit. Nit-Picking: No fishing in ponds 9/10 (please let me catch the big bass in the pond, Michaela)

  I’ve really enjoyed living here. The community is clean, quiet, and very well maintained. The green areas and landscaping are beautiful, and all the facilities — especially the gym — are kept in great condition. The apartments themselves are nice and feel safe and comfortable. One of my favorite things is the monthly events the management organizes. They do a great job creating a sense of community, and the holiday decorations (like the Christmas displays and gift station) are always a fun touch. Overall, it’s been a great place to live.

  Relocated from Philadelphia to Charleston and picked The Heyward as our first place to live here. We handled everything online and usually that comes with a bit of a risk. But the Heyward was incredible from the start. Mikayla and her team in the community management office are super responsive, helpful and supportive. They made leasing and moving in seamless (though more move in dollys would not be bad touch). The maintenance and grounds teams are top notch, friendly and jump on any service request. I love my apartment and my little slice of Charleston. Could not be happier I have chosen this place as home.
