This is by far the worst place I have ever lived. To be clear, the apartment itself isn’t terrible — it’s actually fine. The problem is the unbearable noise. I live on the fourth floor of the Pend building, right next to a busy intersection. At night it gets so loud that I often can’t sleep. For over $2,000 a month for a small studio, this simply doesn’t make sense. The apartment might look okay on paper, but the noise level makes it nearly unlivable. Additionally, the cost of breaking a lease, if you have to due to life changes, is huge. They will charge you 3 + 1 = 4 months rent. This is robbing.

As a resident of 3 years, I strongly recommend against staying here. The staff is unfriendly; they have a serious lanternfly bug infestation every year; and when you file a complaint, they go straight to their upper management to intimidate you. Also, the elevators are often broken. You can do better, don't live here.

The staff is super friendly and always organizing great community events. This is probably the only apartment I've ever lived in where I actually became good friends with many of the neighbors. The units are nice. Be sure to factor in the heating costs when you're comparing rent prices. If this place is in budget for you, you'll have a great time here.
