- YSYunlong SongOct 2, 20251.0This is by far the worst place I have ever lived. To be clear, the apartment itself isn’t terrible — it’s actually fine. The problem is the unbearable noise. I live on the fourth floor of the Pend building, right next to a busy intersection. At night it gets so loud that I often can’t sleep. For over $2,000 a month for a small studio, this simply doesn’t make sense. The apartment might look okay on paper, but the noise level makes it nearly unlivable. Additionally, the cost of breaking a lease, if you have to due to life changes, is huge. They will charge you 3 + 1 = 4 months rent. This is robbing.

The staff is unfriendly; they have a serious lanternfly bug infestation every year; and when you file a complaint, they go straight to their upper management to intimidate you. Also, the elevators are often broken. You can do better, don't live here.

Besides the apartments themselves being beautiful, renovated, and spacious, the building offers many amenities and the staff is phenomenal. Maintenance requests are resolved within 24 hours most times and they go above and beyond what you ask (for example, last time my shower drain wasnt working they also upgraded my shower head). The staff really goes out of their way to know the residents to create a great community atmosphere that really makes it feel like home.
