When I moved in I gave the building 5 stars but had to change it to 1 star now that I have lived here 10 months. The internet is constantly out and they force you to use their provider. Plus receiving packages can take up to 10+ hours before you are notified and often not even put into the system and you have to sort thru hundreds to find yours The rules and fines they have implemented after I moved in has made the building a joke. In the beginning I referred 3 friends that moved in after me. Today I wouldn't recommend anyone to live here!

I’ve been living at The Josephine for about a month now, and while the building itself is nice and the front desk team is great, there are some real frustrations that make it hard to recommend. Parking is one of the biggest issues it’s almost impossible to find a spot, and management doesn’t seem to have any real solution. On top of that, there was an attempted robbery right outside recently, which raised some serious safety concerns. What’s even more frustrating is the rent situation. My roommate and I found out that the person living directly above us is paying noticeably less for a very similar (if not better) unit. When we brought it up, the leasing office was pretty dismissive and offered no adjustment. For what we’re paying, it just doesn’t feel fair. The front desk is amazing, but the leasing side really needs to improve transparency, safety, and consistency with pricing

I also live at The Josephine, and while the building looks nice and the front desk staff are great, there are serious issues that make the experience frustrating. Parking is nearly impossible there’s no consistent solution, and the leasing office isn’t very helpful about it. We also had an attempted robbery happen right outside the building not long after moving in, which made us feel uneasy about safety. What really bothers me is the rent inequality. We found out someone living directly above us, with the same layout, is paying noticeably less in rent. When we asked about it, management brushed it off and didn’t offer any explanation or resolution. For the price residents are paying, I expected a lot more transparency and fairness. The concierge team is amazing, but leasing management really needs to step up

Can only echo the other reviewer's comments. The concierge staff is very sweet and the leasing team does their best. I work from home so the wifi outages, garbage chute system, thin walls and windows are frustrating. The noise insulation between units is so thin that in the morning I wake up to my neighbors pulling on the ball-chain that rolls up the blinds 😂 That's ridiculous for a luxury building. You can hear all the traffic noise, all the outdoor noise from nearby bars and ppl standing outside. The cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom are made from cheap particleboard so I often find wood bits or splinters when I'm cleaning. The outside of the building during spring thru fall reeks of pee (i constantly see pets peeing on the sidewalk or by the potted plants).

I’ve been living here for about a month, and while the building itself is beautiful and the front desk staff are amazing always polite and helpful there are a few serious issues that make it hard to justify the price. First, safety has been a real concern. I personally experienced an attempted armed robbery right outside the building, which was terrifying. I expected more communication or support from management afterward, but there wasn’t much of a resolution. Parking is also extremely difficult, and when I brought it up to the leasing office, they were dismissive and didn’t offer any viable solutions. To make things worse, I found out that my neighbor floors above me, in the exact same floor plan, is paying noticeably less rent (several hundreds) even though he moved in just two weeks before I did. When I asked the leasing office about it, they brushed it off. For the price this building charges, I expected much better transparency, consistency, and concern for residents’ safety. The front desk team truly goes above and beyond. Leasing office and management, not so much.
