I only have given one star so I could write the review. I would definitely give it zero stars. My son signed a lease to live here while attending IUP. His unit was to be panted before he moved in. It absolutely was not painted. Communication is awful. No call backs, no return emails. He has had several issues and his roommate has called for repair. If you do finally get someone, it takes forever to be taken care of. Multiple billing issues. My son is moving out. I have called for 2 months. One very brief call back after a month of me calling every week, multiple times. The person stated she would call me tomorrow. It has been over 3 weeks. No call. I have called 2-4 times a week. I am beyond upset over the lack of communication. I am shocked that with the large complex that the are not more responsive to calls and concerns. I would never recommend living here. Currently, I am still awaiting response.

Beware: this complex is an incompetent mess. Stay away! My fiancée and I wasted our time for 2 straight months jumping through hoop after hoop to complete the application process, just to go in a different direction altogether. Here's why. The first issue is the front office-- anytime you call, you will speak with a different person who doesn't know your story and they will kick the can down the road until someone else can help you. When you ask for some phase of your application to be pushed through or ask for clarification from the upper management, you will have to call back 3 days later because they never followed through. The employees are cordial over the phone, but they don't have answers when you ask them anything that they should know. Also, the higher ups will leave the office around 3 pm on a weekday, so good luck getting anything done without taking a personal day off of work. The application process is unique and not in a good way. The main issue is the hard copy of your social security card which you are expected to email to a random employee email. Not just the number, as would suffice at every other apartment complex of this tier in the country. You need a scanned copy of the card. If you are a student, you need a guarantor to co-sign for earning 2.5x the rent. If you fail the credit pull (not on a basis of credit score or income), you will not be sent an official letter detailing why you failed it, even though Traverse Commons will say that you will receive one. We had family visit the property and take videos of the unit we wanted to see. The parking lots are littered with potholes. Stucco is falling off the facade (take this as foreshadowing). The decks on some of the townhouses are in very poor shape. The unit was a mess. Though extremely spacious (3/3.5, 3 story townhouse), toilets had skid marks in them, every shower had caulking coming undone, the bathroom sink countertops were stained and really beat up, the kitchen countertop had a 2-3 inch crack in it and the disposal unit in the kitchen sink was completely rusted up. Per management, the property still hadn’t been cleaned yet since the previous tenants moved out. That’s fair, but some of these problems are not issues from the general wear and tear of the previous tenant. But also, a quick lysol wipedown of the apartment would’ve gone a long way. I asked if we could have confirmation that these problems would be taken care of before moving in, but the process is that you sign the lease, move-in and have 48 hours after taking control of the unit to request any maintenance to be reviewed. If you haven’t seen the other reviews here regarding the nightmareish maintenance delays and failure of duty, go take a look. We weren’t willing to take the risk and you probably shouldn’t either. The bottom line is that this is a complex that preys on desperate applicants. They know there are few available options in the area and bill themselves as “upgraded living” and “resort style amenities.” As you can see in the other reviews, that is not the case. We were told that the tenant population is diverse, with a nice split of IUP students and families. Yet, every sign points that this is just a place for college students who are more tolerant of the “low-rent” characteristics of the units. There is a demonstrated lack of effort and misguidance from the first phone call to the maintenance of the property. Take this review in concert with all of the other negatives and look elsewhere.

I’ve never left a review before but I need to just let yall know this is the worst managament and staff ever. They do no answer the phone ever and help with nothing. My rent has somehow gone from about 400 dollars a month to almost 1k. They wouldn’t let me sign a 6 month lease so I had to sign a year lease and I havnt lived their since December and have been paying almost 1000 dollars a month the past couple months for the completely empty unit. My utilities have never been so high in 2 years of living there which is weird because not a single light is on and neither is the AC. There hasn’t been a person inside my apartment in 4 months. I’ve experienced bugs and mold etc. They do not even deserve 1 star. Do not live here!!!!!

I would not recommend this company to anyone. Along side the terrible communication and professionalism from the staff - the units are dirty and look absolutely nothing like the photos online. We had issues with this place for months. We originally called to be placed in Elm (3BR/3.5BA). We were told they had plenty of openings and we would have no trouble once we get our application in. After being told multiple times that it was submitted, we would call and the next teenager would tell us that it was never submitted but they would do it. Our application got denied and they told us we would receive a letter explaining why (STILL have not gotten said letter - 2 months later)! We called SO many times and the staff was so unprofessional - including Kelsie lying about ever talking to me on the phone - SO unprofessional!! We submit our application with a new guarantor and it gets approved. Now they tell us we are about 100 people deep on a waitlist. THIS WAS NEVER MENTIONED! After being so fed up with this place, we ask to withdraw our application and get our money back. Suddenly, the exact unit we wanted opens up!!! (Seems suspicious)! My mom goes to tour the unit and it is DISGUSTING. They tell us they will not fix these things until after we assume ownership. Obviously, due to our terrible experience, we do not believe for a second they would fix any of the disturbing issues and we would be stuck in a gross apartment. We found a new place on Zillow. This place is a nightmare!!!! I have also read SO many reviews about them moving people into disturbingly dirty apartments. So please do not believe them when they say that the unit will be “cleaned.”

Pity 1 star bc of on site gym: management was terrible, ignored me and any maintenance requests. Took weeks to get a response, even if you went in person they gave you the same rundown “ we’re working on it”. I went without a washer and dryer, no ac/heating, a tub that wasn’t cleaned properly ( filled with black hair, I’m blonde) that would clog up daily. We paid for furniture that wasn’t built for months. I had my clothes and tv on the floor. Not to mention mold and water from a faulty water heater in my apartment, a black tarp which they left in the middle of the kitchen for months which was their idea of fixing the water heater problem. I’m a college kid and I couldn’t even have my friends over because I was embarrassed of where I lived. WiFi was absolutely terrible. I had to use my personal hotspot on my phone ( which cause me $ towards my phone bill) or go to the library on campus (2 mile walk btw) just to do homework. I paid for a “ luxury” apartment and got garbage. They expected me to pay for garbage and when I didn’t they threatened to sue and evict me. Management is atrocious. All they do is give excuses, and ask for money. Maybe fix my apartment before you demand money. They don’t know what they are doing. I lived there for maybe 3 months and broke my lease. I could not deal with this garbage. Please save your money. Worst experience of my life. All in all GARBAGE!!!!!
