  My girlfriend and I went here to look at homes and we found a couple we liked. One of the sales people explained how it worked and my girlfriend applied for credit approval which she got. They said once we got that we could locate a lot and when we found it, we could put down a refundable $2500 ( to make sure we were serious he said) for them to go give us the ok to buy and start the process. So we found a lot. Sent the money and waited. After bugging them a couple weeks they said there was a problem with the lot that they may be able to resolve but in the meantime they asked: was there any other lots that we were interested in? We sent 3. We heard nothing back for 5 weeks in that time all three lots were purchased by other people. So we sent a message. 'hey we wanted a house but if you don't want to build us one can you send us a refund" paraphrase obviously. The guy says ok I'll start the refund tomorrow. So we can't figure out why they didn't want to build it for us. Is it because my girlfriend was disabled? It's like they didn't care at all. Not excuses. No argument. Just ok. Here's your money, we didn't want to do it anyway.

  So we have just started the journey with Clayton homes. Eric Rose is our sale person and he is very very nice, but we will see if this continues after they have our money. I also think that having to come up with a deposit (that we might not get back) even though we already have a home loan with 5%down is a little nuts, but hoops we will be a jumping!! I will rewrite my review after the next hurdle(buying land)!! I will add that the home we have selected (only showed us 3)is perfect. It has everything we wanted!!

  I had a wonderful Professional experience visiting Clayton Holmes. I had a warm welcome when I came in by the sales rep Shawn and he was very interested in my needs and getting a new home. He was very knowledgeable and kind and took me through two absolutely beautiful homes that I will be thinking about as I am a widow. It is hard to go through buying myself, but was reassured by Shawn that he was there to help and guide me thank you so much Shawn will be back soon

  This is a small, new lot. The staff is friendly. We dropped in unexpectedly, to both us and the staff, upon driving by. We were shown multiple homes. They are in the middle of renovations to their office building. You are escorted through the homes. I understand that helps protect the houses from anyone wanting to do damage. And I'm sure it helps sales teams hear what customers think of the house and might help with suggesting the right plan. I do prefer exploring a model myself. I like to look at it in a practical manner rather than being shown what to look at. Maybe you're shown finishes are beautiful. But I like to see that a floor plan works for my lifestyle. A house is a big purchase to be stuck with if you don't really love its functionality. Being shown a layout does help showcase features customers may be interested in. I was intrigued by the price points of the homes. Joe asked a few questions and showed us homes that fit in with what we are looking for. He didn't waste anyone's time on plans that weren't what we want.
