Staff is friendly and helpful. Repairs are made promptly. My only complaint is that the windows in the building are so old and becoming dysfunctional. ('ve smashed my fingers more than once since I've lived here, when one of the triple-ply windows came crashing down on my fingers). They need to be replaced with more efficient windows, sound-masking windows. I know they are expensive but living on the 15th St. side of the building is so difficult; the traffic, sirens, loud cars, really drive me around the bend. Modern technology has resolved many of these noise issues. I just wish that the owners of the building would invest in this technology.

The people who run Hampshire House Apartments are among the most incompetent people I have met. The so-called “Building Manager” at Hampshire House is really only the guy who fixes toilets and paints vacated apartments and appears to have no administrative or management authority. That responsibility, inexplicably, falls to the “Leasing Agent,” who has limited capabilities and clearly is operating at a pay grade higher than she can responsibly handle. The Leasing Agent, of all people, is responsible for enforcing noise complaints among tenants and slips notes under doors where there has been a report of a problem, but everybody ignores her. As a consequence, Hampshire House is noisier than was my college dormitory. The Leasing Agent plays favorites with tenants, is arbitrary in enforcing house rules and engages in practices so discriminatory she skids against Title VIII of the federal Fair Housing Act. She rebuffs requests for appointments to discuss conditions. The “Building Manager” has extended family living all over Hampshire House – and don’t get in their way! Management extends all kinds of graces and forgiveness of excessive noise and bad behavior to family members that other residents do not enjoy. Kriegman & Smith, the owner’s management company in New Jersey, has no idea how the on-site staff at Hampshire House Apartments in Allentown is running things.

Mold in air conditioning, open wires in basement near garage all over the place, bunch of bugs, empty promises of repairs that never get done. My window wouldnt open all year, my ceiling kept chipping and falling in the bathroom so you inhale drywall while using it, ELECTRICUTED EVERY TIME YOU HIT THE LIGHT SWITCH!!! (SAFETY HAZZARD!!!!), Constant power outtages, located next to 5 of the most prestegipre funeral homes.... Seriously, theres nothing but funeral homes around the apartment.
