  Shift is a newer building with really clean finishes and a tight design. For a smaller building, it punches above its weight in terms of amenities, gym, rooftop deck with a fire pit, and community kitchen. What I really appreciate is that the location feels set back and residential without actually being far from anything. Killingsworth and the MAX are right there, so getting around is easy. Nice balance of neighborhood quiet and urban access.

  Overall I'm pretty happy. My studio is $1050 a month and with utilities it's around $1200. I can hear my gamer neighbor but it doesn't bother me too much. The streets are narrow but you can usually find parking within a block. Kristin is super nice and helpful!

  My experience here has been terrible wall are so thin. Hope you like listening to every sound like people fighting and having sex daily. You have no privacy every front door doesn't close properly, which you can tell, when it close. There's a loud noise where the door hits the casing. Don't have any maintenance requests cause they will not be fixed. Before moving into your apartment, please pull out the refrigerator and the stove. I found pads in tampons under the stove. The best part is the Lobby smile like trash for the past six months see photos this is a regular thing we pay for utility services with no trash being dumped. Management is a revolving door so being helped is nonexistent. You have to drive to the leasing office to get anything resolved.

  Shift is such a great balance of quality and competitive pricing. The units have all hardwood floors (so no carpets that hold onto smells or allergens) and the athletic is super modern. The units are straight forward, but you would have everything you need with good design and lots of light. On top of this, the community room and rooftop BBQ area are great touches. If you are looking in North Portland, this is a high quality find that you must check out. Thank you Kristen and Matthew for you help this past week - you are amazing.
