DO NOT LIVE HERE
Management is unprofessional, dismissive, and does not take serious concerns—especially mold—seriously. Many amenities are poorly maintained or unusable: the pool is not heated, the hot tub is barely warm, and the sauna barely works.
Communication is terrible. Emails go unanswered, and front desk staff are unhelpful, often responding with “I’m new, I don’t know,” without attempting to find answers. Lease management was a nightmare. We received a renewal notice months in advance, acknowledged it, and waited for updated paperwork and rent information—none was sent. Later, we were suddenly told we had 30 days to move out because we “didn’t renew.” Management claimed it was our responsibility to remind them to send paperwork. They even removed one of my roommates from the lease incorrectly, stating she didn’t live here when she absolutely did.
I also lacked portal access for months despite repeated requests. It wasn’t resolved until I threatened to contact housing authorities over mold.
The mold issue is severe and ongoing. There is visible mold in multiple areas, including black mold under the sink, worsening growth in the living room, and significant bathroom water damage. Management repeatedly downplayed it. Senior management dismissed odors, denied visible damage, and questioned health impacts—even after someone had an asthma attack in the apartment. Their proposed solution when completing the work is to simply place an air purifier while repairs are done, despite mold being present throughout the unit.
They rely on outdated studies to dismiss health concerns and hide behind lease clauses about mold being “common in the PNW,” which does not excuse negligence at this level.
We pay nearly $2,400/month for a small 3-bedroom apartment with unsafe living conditions and incompetent management.
This place is not worth your time, money, or health.
If I could give this apartment zero stars I would!

THIS 5-STAR REVIEW FOR THE COMMONS AT DAWSON CREEK IS SPECIFIC TO A MAINTENANCE TEAM MEMBER, HIS NAME IS VICENTE VEGA. I AM TAKING THE TIME TO RECOGNIZE HIM AND HOPE THAT YOUR CORPORATE MANAGEMENT DOES THE SAME. MR. VEGA IS ALWAYS VERY PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, AND TIMELY. WHEN RESPONDING TO OUR MAINTENANCE REQUEST, HE ASKED IF WE WOULD RATHER HAVE HIM COVER HIS BOOTS BEFORE WALKING AROUND THE APARTMENT. THEN, EACH TIME BEFORE HIS COMPLETION OF THE REQUEST, HE WOULD ASK IF WE WOULD LIKE TO TRY AND SEE IF THE ITEM IS OPERATING CORRECTLY, AND IF POSSIBLE, IF HE NEEDED TO RETURN WITH A NEW OR DIFFERENT PART, HE WOULD LET US KNOW WHETHER IT WOULD BE THAT DAY OR THE NEXT. ALL IN ALL, MR. VEGA WE APPRECIATE VERY MUCH HIS PROFESSIONALISM AND COURTEOUSNESS, AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, HE DID IT WITH A SMILE. WE NEVER SENSED ANY "BOTHERSOME" OR "OVERLOADED" MINDFULNESS FROM HIM. THANK YOU, MR. VICENTE VEGA OF THE MAINTENANCE TEAM OF THE COMMONS AT DAWSON CREEK.

The office staff claim the apartments have been cleaned when they have not. I spent the first month having to wash grease off cabinets, some sticky substances on the floors, and mold off the windows and corners.
These apartments have a serious mold issue, when asked for help to address no help was provided.
The bathroom vents are faulted and will continuously run for no reason at all. Bought a highend thermostat system to monitor and there was never a condition for the fans to start.
The fire alarm systems are all faulted and go off randomly.
They only communicate to get you into the apartments, once your in you never hear from them again.
Constanly on the lookout for any way they can fine you.
Parking situation is atrocious. They will charge you for a dedicated spot and then tell everyone they can park where ever there is an open space.
Better to save your efforts and find a place somewhere else

Great place to stay. Cozy environment. Nearby to Intel Ronler Acre buildings. Nearby to freeways
Applied for an apartment here when it was advertised at $1,450/month. After paying two application fees, I was informed the actual rent was $1,899 — a $449 jump. This is blatant false advertising. When I requested a refund due to the bait-and-switch, they refused, hiding behind a “non-refundable” policy. I also asked why this jump in price occurred. Their response: an error. So, where’s my refund due to YOUR error?
I even contacted the Oregon Department of Justice, but because of loopholes, they couldn’t help — which means this business gets away with misleading applicants and keeping their money. Renters deserve transparency, not deception.
