After living in these apartments for 2.5 years, we've moved for many reasons. The mold in the apartments is often out of control. Each window sill pools condensation each day throughout most of the year, easily within your kid's reach to play in the water that is unavoidable and really should be wiped up each day. Management claims they can not do anything about and puts the responsibility on you to take care of and deal with. We had issues with mold around the doors, and in the corners of one room that had apparently been flooded by a previous attendant that must not have been taken care of properly. With these apartments being so old, there is obviously a lot of wear on the built in structures, and they do not get replaced for the next tenant. Within two weeks of moving in, my car was stolen, which I thought was a fluke, but during the two years we were there, all three of our cars have been broken into, and rummaged through anytime you may forget to lock a door. I'm sure car prowlers are not uncommon at other apartment complexes, but I thought it was odd for Clackamas in what used to be a decent part of town. I've also noticed the police drive through fairly often and SWAT teams were present at least three times in a small section of the apartment. The hot tubs are open year round, but never kept hot, more like a warm bath that is questionable on cleanliness. The pools are very crowded in the summer, with neighboring apartment complexes sneaking in. And the grounds are limited to the maintenance they perform. Every Tuesday the lawn gets mowed, and leaves blown as needed, but that's about it. I'd complained several times about lights being out which makes it very dark in some areas, or even light posts completely ripped out of the ground, with no response or very lackluster priority of repair (as in a month or two). Other than that, it's a typical apartment complex that is very big. The maintenance men do the best they can and if it's something that really does need to be addressed right away, it does. Management is typical, but not horrible. They were understanding, but seemed limited by a higher decision maker in how much they can actually help address the issues.
