Unprofessional & Uncomfortable Experience During Scheduled Tour
Today, my girlfriend and I came in for a scheduled apartment tour. Unfortunately, she had accidentally left her ID at home. The leasing agent, Laura, handled the situation professionally and kindly explained that due to policy, my girlfriend could not join the tour. She was very accommodating, offering snacks and drinks and even suggesting I FaceTime my girlfriend during the tour. She also allowed her to wait comfortably in the leasing office, which we really appreciated.
However, the experience took a turn when another employee, KENNEDY, entered with a different prospective couple. Upon noticing my girlfriend sitting quietly in the office on FaceTime, Kennedy became noticeably passive-aggressive. She made several comments in front of both my girlfriend and the other couple, stating that my girlfriend “was not supposed to be in there” and that she could not proceed with the tour because of her presence. She instructed the couple to wait elsewhere, saying she “couldn’t leave with her in here.”
This was all said directly in front of my girlfriend, who was simply sitting quietly and trying to view the apartment remotely. She was left feeling confused, embarrassed, and uncomfortable, unsure of how to respond. The other couple also appeared visibly awkward and unsure of what was happening.
Had the situation been handled with professionalism and a simple, polite explanation, this could have been avoided entirely. Instead, the interaction created a tense and unwelcoming environment.
We genuinely liked the apartment and had been seriously considering this property. However, due to this experience, we will not be moving forward with an application. We value respectful and professional communication, and unfortunately, this interaction did not reflect that.
We left feeling very disappointed. Thank you KENNEDY for helping us narrow down our search.

I lived in this apartment complex from May 2025 to Jan 2026 and I am so glad I only had an 8 month lease because this was by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. I almost can't believe how many problems I had living here in that short amount of time. It always felt like something else was going on and there was no peace.
Drug dealers are allowed to live here without any action taken by the management. At one point there was even yellow paint written on their sliding glass door that said "Unless you live here, stay out." I'm still not sure what was happening with that neighbor but I think his family was trying to keep drug users from visiting/buying from the person that lived there. Their unit was always trashed outside, random people were always going in and out and a few times I walked by burned items (like spray paint cans) out front.
There was SO much dog poo on all the sidewalks and piles of it in the grass - it was impossible to not step in it, even when you looked out for it. It was constantly on the sidewalk. It was often tracked down the sidewalk and the maintenance crew must have seen it but rarely cleaned it up.
When I first moved in, one of my neighbors was having mental health crisis regularly and would scream in the courtyard and verbally abuse the woman that lived with him. He was a pretty big guy and seemed really upset often so it was pretty scary. Cops regularly patrol the complex, which is probably a good idea in this place with what I've seen, but it's just not a very peaceful place to live.
There were two situations that happened towards the end of my lease that made me not want to stay another month. The first was that my upstairs neighbor flooded my apartment while I was at work by leaving their bathtub running (apparently for a very long time based on how much water was across my entire bathroom and bedroom floor, reaching all the way to the window). The maintenance man did bring fans and confirmed that my upstairs neighbor had turned off the tub but I felt very uneasy after that because it was very strange they didn't notice it had overflowed for so long and I'm very lucky everything in my bedroom wasn't ruined and I didn't have any valuables on the floor.
The other problem happened when several very large tree branches fell from the tree outside my apartment. The management refused to take my concern for safety seriously and said the tree was fine and had recently been evaluated by a "professional tree service". It clearly was dead and not fine since it was dropping huge branches right on the walkway of my apartment several weeks in a row. It could have fallen on the building with a winter storm.
The biggest disappointment without a doubt was the management. I felt very unsafe in this complex at different times and when I would bring up concerns, not only were they brushed under the rug, but it almost seemed like they would retaliate against me. For example, after bringing something to their attention (I can't even remember which one because this place was such a hot mess), the next day they left a notice that they had to do a "yearly" inspection, after about 3 months of me living there. After, they noted that I had a dog, which I was very clear about in my application and all my paper work. The office said they never charged me for a pet deposit or pet rent for 3 months and charged me the lump sum all at once, which was over $500 even though it was their mistake for not charging me correctly at the beginning.
This place is truly horrible and every 1 star review I have read about them is absolutely true in my opinion. I have seen what people complain about and I know they are not exaggerating because many of these things have happened to me. If you are one of the lucky ones that doesn't have a bad experience in this place, then good for you, but trust me it is not worth the headache to live here. I would absolutely warn you to stay away from this complex if you have any other options.

I've lived here with my Fiancé for about two months now and I truly don't understand the negative reviews!!
From the start its been super easy and management has been super kind. I had an issue with my application screening because of stuff my mom did which was causing me to get denied from EVERYWHERE and I was starting to lose hope on finding a home for me and my upcoming family (long story)...Management was extremely helpful and kind when I explained the situation. They did as much as they could to help me considering so... Once I got approved and went to drop off my deposit, Andre was adamant that I see the apartment we were renting before signing anything/paying anything and I appreciated that a ton, it showed he really wanted to make sure we were happy before proceeding.
After touring the apartment and It was time to sign the paperwork, Andre went above and beyond by creating two versions. One with our pet rent and fees and one without, just in case I had my ESA certification for my dog! I thought this was super thoughtful and again I appreciated it a ton. When we signed the official lease, it came with instructions on how to take care of the countertops and also a breakdown of the prices for everything in the apartment for when we move out which was super helpful. They even went out of their way to tell us about a possible change in renting car ports! My fiancé drives a motorcycle and was using one of the free "Skinny" car ports to park. They let us know when we signed that they may start charging a small fee for the small car ports in the near future if you decided to purchase one, but it wasn't decided yet. They ended up doing that but my fiancé and I weren't blindsided at all as they sent an email communicating the new change to everyone, AND they let us know about the idea while we signed the lease a month prior!
I've been super annoying with calling the office with questions and etc but they've all been so patient with me and always answer my questions. Truly no complaints.
As for the grounds themselves, they are just beautiful. Everything is so well taken care of and maintained. My area of the apartments have been just quiet and peaceful with green grass and beautiful trees. There is an unbelievable amount of parking, I have never had to walk a far distance to my car which has always been an issue in the past in the places I've lived.
I submitted a maintence request for our blinds about a day ago and they already have reached out to try and come fix them.
I have no complaints about the apartments AT ALL...I've seen police drive through before but no sirens or anything that makes a ruckus, and ...If the cops aren't there for you, why should it bother you!? We are right down the street from BPD which just feels safer honestly! There has been no "squeezing me for every penny I have" (I actually applied for a more expensive apartment but they gave me a different one for a better deal) they were transparent about everything. None of my packages have been stolen, they go to a package room! Which even the ones that were delivered to my door weren't stolen at all. Even if they were, I'm fully confident that management would handle it super well!
I got a great deal on a clean and updated, bottom floor one bedroom, management has been extremely helpful, kind and communicative and the grounds are just beautiful. Only complaint I have is that darn traffic light to turn left onto Greenway from Hall, gets super backed up lol! But that's at no fault of the apartments of course!!
I wish I had looked at some of these reviews before applying. This complex does one thing right, and that's to scrape and grovel for every penny you have. They became increasingly unreasonable in the application process, demanding that I bring their office a money order for an application which I already paid. I live hours away from their office, yet was given until the end of the day to provide information from my application. Seems like they want to get you in as fast as possible so they can start leeching your precious income. No matter how many times I explained my situation with the military, and tried to gain an idea of whether this would be a viable option for me, they just tried to rush through the application process in a vague and uncomfortable manner. I'd avoid this one. There are much better complexes nearby.

Maintenance came out and addressed the issue I had in a prompt and professional manner. The staff member who came was friendly and helpful.
