  I was assaulted in front of the lobby of this building in 2023 but police weren't able to complete an investigation because the security cameras were covered in dirt and they weren't able to make out a license plate.

  Do not listen to any of the five star ratings on here because they are all incentivized by some small donut or food item. Living here has been an actual hell. Since moving in, my place was not cleaned at all. There’s cobwebs and dead bugs from the outside all over my windows that they never seem to maintain either. Their layout is also incredibly illegal and a fire hazard, where one of the bedrooms has a window facing the living room that can’t even be opened and it’s a literal shoebox in there. Next, there is a huge COCKROACH issue that has never been taken care of. Almost everyone I’ve spoke to have seemed to have the same problem. It’s truly disgusting because cockroaches originate from the building itself and use its infrastructure to crawl around. Cockroaches are also an ongoing issue they’ve had for YEARS based on all the other reviews. They never done anything to step up and address it but do some useless, “preventative” measure of spraying down a singular unit that does nothing in the end when it’s clearly evident this is a building wide problem they need to be proactive about. However, they are clearly only care penny pinching every dollar from students they can’t even invest back to making the property any better. The elevators are so slow and always dirty and the hallways smell disgusting and foul like a dead roadside animal that will leave you gagging. The common laundry room machines have mold all over them that are never cleaned. They advertise the gym but all their equipment is literally 10+ years old and some of the cable equipments are literally hanging by a thread. The shuttles also run at the most non-optimal times where if you have a 9:30 class, you will get there at 9:35 and walk over by 9:45 to your class, or you have to come on campus a whole 45 minutes earlier if you want to make it. They also do not even run anytime between 10-2 when most people have classes anyways. you probably won’t even end up using them either and dread walking 10 mins to the nearest bus stop. Don't even bother listening to this selling point on shuttle buses because they do not run in your favour anyways. Some of the staff members here are just straight up rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. They just begin conversations with attitude (especially the ginger one). Like if you hate your job so much, no one is holding you against your own will to work here. Seriously, do not live at this place because if you ask any Western student that does know about the MARQ, they never have anything pleasant to say and mention something about cockroach infestations. TLDR if you care about your well being DO NOT LIVE HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAKE UP TO DEAD COACKROACHES AND A PUNGENT SMELL EVERYTIME YOU LEAVE YOUR UNIT.
