My experience living in this apartment complex has been overwhelmingly negative due to ongoing safety, accessibility, and maintenance issues that were never properly addressed. The elevator has been out of service for months, yet it is still listed as an “amenity” in every communication. In a seven‑story building with residents who have mobility challenges, the lack of a functioning elevator is unacceptable. Compounding this, the stairwells do not have proper hand railings, creating additional safety risks. The building and parking areas also lack true handicap‑accessible features. Although there are three marked accessible parking spaces, they are not monitored and are frequently used by anyone. During the first freeze of the winter, the building had no heat, but residents were still expected to pay full rent on the first of the month—even after going months with unreliable or nonexistent heating. The entire building operates on an old boiler system, meaning residents cannot control their own heat or air conditioning. Despite being advertised as “all bills paid,” an additional $200 utility charge is applied each month without providing basic temperature control or consistent service. Indoor environmental issues were also a constant problem. Residents frequently smoked cigarettes and marijuana inside their units, and the smell regularly came through the vents into our apartment. This was reported to management, including Jackie, multiple times with no action taken. Maintenance visits were also ineffective. Work orders repeatedly disappeared, issues were marked as resolved when nothing had been fixed, and in one case the bedroom unit was patched temporarily but stopped working within 20 minutes—leaving us without both AC and heat in the bedroom. Mold in the bathroom was also brought to maintenance’s attention during routine visits, yet it was never properly remediated. Additionally, the basement has a serious roach problem, and even when pest control came through, other serious issues were ignored. Overall, it became clear that resident safety and quality of living were not priorities for this complex. After months of unresolved concerns, we ultimately had to hire an attorney to get out of our lease. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property to anyone seeking a safe, well‑maintained, or responsibly managed place to live.

I wouldn't move here I was suppose to get a tour of the apartment and finish fill out my application and I went to tour they said they don't have any apartment tours and then I told them I didn't want the apartment I didn't have to pay for a fee and now I'm looking at my credit history and I have a fee of 150? And for what!? I never toured never finished the application and they stuck that on my rental history for nothing so I'll be suing them over this! Just don't move here or give them any of your money

I’ve had a great experience at The Aberdeen, largely because of the onsite team. Jackie, the Property Manager, is professional, responsive, and truly cares about the residents. Josh in Maintenance is always quick to address service requests and communicates clearly throughout the process, and Todd does an excellent job ensuring apartments are move-in ready. The staff’s dedication, transparency, and customer service really make a difference and show their commitment to making The Aberdeen a great place to live. I appreciate the effort and would recommend this community to anyone looking for a team that genuinely cares.

Living at The Aberdeen Apartments has been a nightmare that borders on unsafe. Since August, our unit has had persistent leaks, mold, and severe HVAC issues that are never truly fixed. Management slaps on temporary “solutions,” then disappears until the next failure, which is constant. What makes this situation unacceptable is that the entire townhouse side did not have heat at all until December 22, and even now, it still does not work properly. This wasn’t an isolated unit issue. This was an entire section of the property left without reliable heat for months. Now, during a major snowstorm with temperatures at 0 degrees, we currently have no heat. This is not a comfort issue, it is a health and safety emergency. When I called maintenance to ask if there was another unit we could temporarily stay in that actually has heat, I was told that I complain too much. That response alone tells you everything you need to know about how residents are treated here. No urgency. No concern. No accountability. Just dismissal. Communication from management is consistently poor, serious issues are minimized, and residents are made to feel like a burden for expecting basic, livable conditions. Mold, leaks, and broken heating systems are treated like inconveniences instead of the serious habitability issues they are. I am genuinely worried about my safety living here. Being left without heat in freezing temperatures while being brushed off by management is unacceptable and inhumane. This property does not take resident well-being seriously. If you are considering moving here, do not. No rent price is worth being ignored, disrespected, and put at risk during extreme weather. This is hands down the worst rental experience I’ve ever had.
