  This review is not for McGraw Realtors of Bartlesville as a whole, but for one of their licensed agents who is under their brokerage, Barbara Collier. Barbara came to my home (and attempted) to show my house to a potential buyer last week at 3:45pm in 90°+ weather in Oklahoma (that means miserably hot & humid). I have 4 dogs who were all securely crated in our home at the time of the scheduled showing as putting them in my garage would have been a death sentence for back to back home showings. And because I have 5 kids, 4 of whom are in car seats, I don’t have space in my car for four large dogs every time I leave. Not to mention, two are very elderly and can’t jump into the car anymore and I can’t easily lift them. When Barb went to open our storm door prior to unlocking our front door, they began to bark and she immediately dropped her jaw and huffed and puffed in the most dramatic fashion. She then immediately left with out ever entering and told our agent the dogs were loose in the home (a flat out lie as when I returned home they were crated exactly how I left them with time stamped photos/video to prove it) and she also said there was a truck in the driveway. I own 4 vehicles, and can’t drive them all when someone comes to look at our home. I can’t imagine I’m the only home seller to own multiple vehicles in her 25+ years of real estate transactions. The next day, she requested to show her buyer my home again. Same exact time, only slightly hotter weather. My gut said to deny the request but I believe in kindness and second chances. I made it clear the dogs would be there, crated again. She made the choice to return to my home with that knowledge and again, my dogs began barking when she was unlocking the door. At which point she was on our doorbell camera, yelling at them to “oh shut up”. My husband called me mortified at what he just saw and was in disbelief someone would act so atrociously. Like I mentioned, two dogs are elderly and senile getting ready to be put down and we are praying for what ever time we have left with them. Her abhorrent behavior while showing someone’s home and entering into it with disrespect toward innocent animals is unacceptable and quite frankly, disturbing. Then, while leaving my home she spent almost 2.5 minutes trying to lock the door while acting annoyed she was unable to lock a door, the most basic part of her job. So much so, her buyer was trying to help her. This was after her buyer already had to help her open the key lock box because she also could not figure that out. Barb then chose to leave my door unlocked because she couldn’t figure it out while no other realtor that showed our home had any issues unlocking or locking the door. Oklahoma homes settle and all you have to do is gently lift up in the knob and it closes and locks like butter. However, the fact she got mad and called my realtor again to the mad about my door and dogs is crazy to me when she knew the circumstances were no different than the previous day. Her behavior is anything but professional or even ethical. Anyone who is rude to dogs (especially elderly ones) is a giant red flag. Dogs are protective of their home and it’s THEIR home. As a realtor and home buyer it’s a privilege to enter a home that doesn’t belong to you, and with the handful of homes we’ve bought and sold I’ve never encountered someone so entitled and rude. If you hate dogs, and ruining your chances of getting your offer accepted due to not wanting to deal with your realtor, then Barb is the realtor for you.
