If you are thinking of buying a Ryan Home do your research thoroughly first. You will see that many homeowners praise the sales team and project managers, but I ask you to ask yourself what did they do exceptionally? They did their job they got you into a house which was what they were supposed to do. They will probably praise their warranties and reassure you that their warranties will cover every aspect of the home you can imagine and will probably also tell you how they have families in their homes also. Here's what they won't tell you, they won't tell you that some of their warranty managers encourage you to wait until the end of your warranty period to make a claim, and you may say what's wrong with that? If they don't fix it correctly or its a recurring issue once you are outside your warranty window thats it. They won't tell you how some of the warranty managers will dismiss your claims until you spend more of your hard earned money to hire a third party agency to look at the issue to tell you that its something serious. Even then they may make you feel like they are taking your concerns serious by sending a lot of people out to your home to reassure you your concerns are their number one priority while still minimizing the seriousness of the issue. They won't tell you that some service managers will neglect repairs for over 30 days which will leave your home needing serious repairs. Not only is there damage to your home but possibly to your neighbors homes also, but they won't tell them that. They won't tell you that they will push off meetings and delay responses while you are forced to make a decision or risk losing your investment and risking the safety of everyone within your home. Be careful....It all sounds good but they say if its too good to be true it probably is and in this case you need to be very cautious. It is not to say that every house is this way, but unless you have the money to have inspections done at every phase and are willing to walk away if issues are not resolved, its probably not worth the risk. Look at the sites where they are building the homes, what is the soil like, is it clay soil? Clay soil is never good and the homes that are built in clay soil have drainage and foundation issues. Just read and do a little research.....look into the claybowl effect, understand what you are buying. The homes can be aesthetically beautiful minus perfection. The paint rubs off easily, there are scratches and dents in the walls and in the moulding and sometimes the seams of the walls are not smooth or straight. The amount of money you may have to spend correcting poor workmanship and/or construction defects plus attorney fees may not be worth it and you may be better off buying a home that's been around for awhile because at least you know what you are getting. It's definitely a risk, but you are the only one who can decide if it will be worth it. (understand these are my experiences, but you can verify they have a lot of homeowners who experience the same problems just check out some of the major platforms like google, facebook, Better business bureau, and even talk to your local contractors) Wishing you the best in your new home purchase. God Bless
