  The Village at Stetson Square – Do Not Move Here Do not move into this apartment complex. After living here for three years, they kept my deposit, which I accepted. However, after new ownership took over, my rent was increased by $600 in one renewal. They then tried to force us out of our two-bedroom apartment so they could remodel, offering to move us into a one-bedroom apartment for almost double what we were paying for the two-bedroom. We only stayed an additional year because we could not find another place at the time. When we decided to move out, we gave them a full three-month notice that we would not be renewing our lease. Despite this, once we moved out, they charged us additional fees claiming we did not notify them in time—when they were already aware months in advance that we were not renewing. The management was unprofessional, misleading, and more focused on profit than treating long-term residents fairly. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for honest management or stability.

  Management forced a $200 bill from Duke on us when leaving despite following their instructions to not terminate our account. They were meant to switch the account over and pay, did not, and we accrued fees and were threatened with collections. Rather than accept responsibility, they stopped replying. Do not expect good service. Rent at your risk. Glad to be done with this place and they constant maintenance issues, leaky roofs, and untrustworthy management.

  We moved in today and Preston, one member of the staff, went way beyond excellent customer service. Without complaining he helped us move a big sectional and bedroom furniture. He displayed a great attitude and you can tell he really loves his work!!! Mike
