- SMSpencer MerkOct 16, 20232.0Hired this group for a private appraisal on a commercial property before purchasing it. The appraisal came back with comps well outside the neighborhood (10-13 miles away) we were looking to buy and ultimately compared properties that were far from comparable. They lack the understanding of the Cincinnati market and the comps used were in lower income areas and less desirable neighborhoods with dissimilar residents and a very different commercial footprint. It was like arguing that properties in downtown New York City vs Newark, NJ are good comps. Would recommend not hiring them for any market outside of Columbus.
