Update: Several emails to them later and no response. They don’t even answer emails anymore or calls. Great post sales service.
Pulte Homes: A Post-Closing Nightmare
We closed on our Pulte home in March, and while the pre-closing experience was smooth and responsive, the post-closing service has been an absolute disaster. We made the significant mistake of closing with several pending items, including internal corrections and external finishes like painting, caulking, and repairs to driveway concrete holes. This decision has proven to be a huge regret.
Immediately after closing, Pulte Homes seemed to vanish. Messages go unanswered, and when we do receive a response, it's a dismissive "we can't share an estimated date." It has now been three months, and these crucial outstanding items remain unaddressed.
Based on our experience, I strongly advise against closing with Pulte Homes if there are any pending issues. Their responsiveness and support plummet once the sale is complete. It's incredibly disappointing to be left in limbo after such a significant investment.

Hi. I am writing because I think everyone should be aware of using Pulte, especially if building with the local team in Avon Lake.
In fairness, some of the work was ok, other work was not and in particular when you look at the price point they are charging.
After the home was built, my driveway has had cracks because their construction company was driving large construction trucks on my driveway by using my driveway as a turnaround. When this was brought up with Dawn, she pointed to the concrete warranty. This was awful because the warranty should not come into play when they are driving their own construction vehicles over my new driveway.
Second, we selected during the building process to move the fireplace in the living room to the center of the living room and they charged us more than $4,000 to do that and included having the rocks “surround” the fireplace. And yes, that word “surround” was in the work order we agreed to. Pulte did not complete the fireplace per the agreement. They refused afterwards to make it correct. The lead person named Christian got involved and he is awful to deal with. I’m not sure how Pulte keeps him on the team. He stated that Pulte uses a different definition of the word “surround” than what can or is found in the Webster Dictionary. I’m not even sure how one can just make up things like the definition of wording that a client agreed to and PAID for.
My wife and I are looking to build a new home down south where Pulte builds. If my review means anything, know we are not looking at using Pulte again as a builder because of these experiences and how Christian handled mistakes him and his company have made.
Buyer beware and get a good attorney because words on the page don’t matter when Christian and Pulte leaders just make up their own definitions.
