  Keenan Center charged me $20 to submit an application and another $100 to VIEW the apartment I was interested in. there weren’t any photos of the apartments, only floor plans, and because I was initially very interesting in how they described their apartments I accepted the temporary viewing charge just to get my foot into the door. When I saw the apartment in person and realized it was not the right fit for me. When I asked for the deposit back in person the individual representing Keenan Management belligerently refused to refund the $100 viewing deposit, despite the fact that it was posted as refundable online. To avoid continuing to be harassed in person, I disputed the charge with my credit card company being that it’s not legal in NY to be charged any amount to view an apartment. Keenan has sent debt collectors to harass me via mail and phone calls daily for now a charge of $135!! I don’t know where the extra $35 charge came from since I let them keep the $25 application fee deposit. This company has provided the worst experience and terrible customer service I’ve ever dealt with when looking for an apartment. I wouldn’t recommend working with this location or any of Burns Management for that matter.
