  Pros: The apartments are beautiful, the neighborhood feels safe, and it’s close to the water. Josh and Nasir are wonderful. Cons: Construction quality is poor- noise carries through walls and ceilings all day and night and garbage rooms on the first floor often have constant odor and fly infestations. Management and leasing staff (except Josh and Nasir) are unresponsive to complaints and tend to minimize noise issues as ‘normal apartment living.’ Constant emails to everyone about poor behaviors that are done by a few because they don’t want to take responsibility to deliver on consequences for those who don’t respect the property. Vacancy rates reflect resident dissatisfaction. Rents are priced as if this is luxury living. Renewal rates increase by hundreds of dollars leaving tenant to either pay a lot more money or move again. Unless you are here through affordable housing, it is not worth paying so much a month. If you’re considering renting here, I recommend speaking directly with current residents before making a decision.

  August, I got off work, picked up my sister, and went to Emerson. The property was beautiful and very well-kept. One of the best things about the complex was its location. Unfortunately, the one negative aspect was the Mr Nowling from management. I felt judged,I'm not sure if it was because of the casual clothes I wore or an assumption made about me or my sister, but the experience was very unpleasant. I'm not usually one to write reviews, but this stood out. My sister, trying to see past that experience, visited again recently and told me that Mr. Nowling kept watching her closely as she asked questions, as if he believed she might steal something.We are both hard-working individuals with great credit and a strong sense of responsibility Sorry, buddy we do not fit your mold of tenants! We will definitely be searching elsewhere for our new apartment.

  Emerson Grey Star Properties Sleepy Hollow NY My review is to recognize Nasir Blackwell for his outstanding performance as head of Maintenance for the property. Nasir is able to diagnose problems quickly and accurately. He works efficiently and in a timely manner. He leaves the problem area clean and the problem fully resolved. It is very clear that Mr Blackwell takes immense pride in his work. He is definitely a valuable asset to Greystar/Emerson and he provides an excellent experience for the residents. Thank you Greystar/Emerson for hiring such a dedicated and capable professional. Nasir Blackwell has always been dependable in the 2 years that I’ve been living here. He is someone I know that I can count on getting the job resolved.
