I’ve lived at The Springs for approximately 3 years in total.
During my most recent interaction, Maintenance Foreman called me and my dog “dirty and disgusting,” told me I could “sniff the sink” of an empty apartment to compare it to mine, and even took photos inside my apartment without my permission. He later claimed he only photographed my sink and dishwasher — but taking any photos without consent is a complete violation of my privacy. His tone and behavior were completely out of line, unprofessional, and intimidating. As a young woman, I have no doubt he would never have spoken to a male resident this way. To be spoken to like this at any time is unacceptable and a very poor reflection on your organization.
On a Friday night after working all week this is absolutely unacceptable. I was left feeling completely targeted, disrespected, and unsafe in my own home.
To make matters worse, the issue he was supposed to address remains unresolved. Multiple neighbors have the same problem with the sinks, yet instead of fixing it, residents are insulted and blamed.
This isn’t an isolated incident; it’s part of a larger pattern of mismanagement and disregard for residents. Work orders are mishandled, closed out without completion, communication is poor, and maintenance often schedules visits without proper notice.
Living here should not feel stressful and uncomfortable due to the behavior of staff who should be maintaining a safe and respectful environment. For the amount of rent charged, this level of unprofessionalism is completely unacceptable. The service has declined over the course of my tenancy.

Overpriced and inadequate sound-proofing. Chronic harassment by neighbor below me, and management did nothing to resolve the issue.

I’ve lived here for just over two years!
Pros:
- close to exit 15 shopping
- close to downtown
- maintenance is on top of their shit (and just a joy to be around.)
- I think the biggest bang for your buck around here. Some of the other apartments owned by burns are more aesthetically pleasing but the springs I think wins with living space.
- pet friendly (some people complain about the pet DNA to track dog poop but I love it because it keeps the property pretty clean)
- with my personal experience, renewing your lease has been fair and easy process and that makes me re-sign
- send out surveys for tenant opinion on next improvement projects
Cons:
-recently switched to a trash valet service and the trash rooms are no longer open to use. The con is that they don’t come Friday/saturday which is when I feel like I have the most trash. You can bring your trash to the back of the building but for me that means lugging it down three floors and then walking/driving. You can also only put your trash outside your door within a certain time frame otherwise you will be penalized. Personally, I feeel like the service is more of an inconvenience than a luxury. I want the trash rooms back
-springs implemented a ‘tech fee’ for something that should have been part of a yearly building budget. I still don’t understand what I’m paying for… is it the access to the apps I don’t use or is the fob? Which again, feels like an expense that should be wrapped into rent since it’s how we access the building and the units
-inconsistent garage prices. Living in the retail buildings means you get the option of having a garage space. I pay for a $125 spot but multiple times a year there are promotions for $75, and as a girl that loves a deal, it irks me that I’m paying $50 more. If you’re contemplating a spot, wait until they send a promotional email. I have regrets lol
- no sidewalk to downtown. I’m a walker and unfortunately the town does not have side walks connecting to downtown. Probably my biggest complaint which isn’t a springs problem, more of a Saratoga springs problem
