Let’s start from the beginning. When we asked to view a one bedroom one bath before signing the lease, we were told none were available to view in the entire complex and we were shown a two bedroom instead that had “similar qualities”. Upon signing the lease and getting the keys, we were blown away with how tiny our new apartment was, nothing compared to the one we were told about. There is absolutely no storage space and the building are all wood, so you hear absolutely every step your neighbors take. We’ve had three instances in our one year stay when we needed to call police, two of which involve gun shots nearby, and one instance when a man was hidding in the shadows at 3am, stalking his girlfriend. THEY ALSO FAILED TO TELL US THAT TWO PEOPLE WERE ABDUCTED AND MURDERED WHILE WALKING TO THEIR CARS HERE. Channon Christian and Christopher Newson were kidnapped and brutally murdered but we had to find that out from a neighbor, not the office. The office is a whole different story. Spring Meadow is one of the most annoying places I’ve ever lived. The staff here literally make up excuses to come into your apartment. Three separate times we were told that maintenance was coming in to change our air filters. That still has yet to happen and our lease is up in a few weeks. Atleast once a month maintenance will come in, look around, flush the toilet to pretend they actually did something of value, and leave. It’s obvious that they just want to check out our apartment to make sure we are following all their rules. They threatened to end our lease early because of our dog barking but will do nothing to stop people from blaring music so loud, our entire building shakes (which FYI is why my dog was barking!!). It is obvious that they favorite certain tenants while others get poor treatment. As a younger couple, the staff makes it very clear that our worth doesn’t begin to compare to our older neighbors.
