Located in the heart of Manhattan, Marc offers boundless comfort, serenity and convenience to all who seek a higher quality of life. Starting at the low $3000s, our Midtown West luxury apartments in NYC give you the best of luxury city life. Take a stroll in Central Park, enjoy the entertainment of Times Square, go shopping on 5th Avenue, or enjoy some of the city’s best restaurants. On the evenings you want to stay in, enjoy the features of your new home by relaxing in the steam room, or work-out at the Marc’s Fitness Center, a valued amenity included in your residency.
I’ve lived in this building since January 2025, and calling it “luxury” is completely misleading. Here is the reality:
1. Elevators: Constantly Broken & Unsafe
The elevator situation is beyond unacceptable. Out of four elevators, two or three are almost always out of service. Expect to add 5–10 minutes to every commute because of long lines and repeated breakdowns. This is not a one-off issue — it has been a persistent problem for months and poses serious safety concerns.
2. Amenities You Pay For But Can’t Use
The so-called amenities are a joke. Most gym machines are broken and stay broken for weeks with no signs of repair. The rooftop has been closed for ages with no communication or timeline. You pay a premium for amenities that effectively do not exist.
3. Extremely Noisy Apartments
These apartments are nowhere close to quiet. Even on higher floors, you constantly hear sirens, ambulances, and traffic. On days with good weather, you still cannot open your windows because the noise pollution is unbearable. Anyone expecting a peaceful home will be disappointed.
4. Staff Behavior & Retaliation
While a few staff members are polite, many treat residents unequally. Several residents—including myself—have experienced unprofessional and discriminatory behavior. After I posted an honest review earlier, my key fob was deliberately disabled, restricting my access to the building.
This kind of retaliation against tenants is extremely alarming and reflects poorly on management.

Overall:
This building markets itself as “luxury,” but the reality is substandard maintenance, unusable amenities, noise, and disrespectful treatment of tenants. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere — there are far better options in the city for the same price, without these ongoing issues.

Constantly leaves a massive trash pile on
the corner of 53 and 8. One of the worst in the city.
