I have already moved out of this apartment recently.
The only real advantage of this building is its location, as many amenities and restaurants are nearby (although this is much more convenient for people who own cars rather than for pedestrians).
I am fully aware that this review will not truly be reflected in any way by the apartment management staff, and that they tend to appear understanding on the surface without actually taking these concerns seriously. Therefore, I am writing this review mainly in the hope that it will be helpful to people who are considering living in this apartment.
This apartment building is nearly 30 years old, and almost everything feels outdated. In reality, residents are placed in a situation where they would need to renovate at their own expense if they want improvements. In my case, I experienced various noise issues, as well as frequent problems with insects entering through even very small gaps. The amount of electricity available per unit is limited, and power outages occur frequently due to bad weather. Internet service is also unstable and disconnects often. Additionally, the overall maintenance costs—such as rent and internet (which must be installed and managed separately)—are not as inexpensive as they may initially seem. The first month may feel manageable, but over time, it becomes noticeably more expensive.
The management staff tend to be friendly only during the initial contract process or when money-related matters are involved. When residents raise personal concerns or ongoing issues, they are often dismissed as trivial, and the staff generally show little genuine care. In some cases, residents are even intimidated or pressured under the guise of building management.
The most serious issue I experienced while living here was related to cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, heavy smokers lived directly across from my unit, and the building failed to properly ventilate or manage the toxic air that lingered heavily in the hallway. If there had been even a simple exhaust fan installed in the corridor, it would have made a significant difference. I deeply regret realizing too late that this issue was simply neglected. If the management staff were truly able to understand residents’ perspectives, I sincerely wish they would consider installing ventilation fans in the hallways.
When I went to the management office to report this issue, the smell of cigarette smoke was already strong even before entering the office. I later found out that one of the management staff members smokes frequently. It was only after all of this that I learned there are no specific smoking regulations in this building. This was extremely discouraging. For residents who also suffered from noise issues, the situation must have been even more unbearable. These are not problems caused by personal fault, but by a poor living environment—yet residents are made to feel as if they alone are responsible for enduring everything.
In a shared living environment like this apartment, it would be reasonable to expect some level of mutual consideration among residents. Instead, it is disappointing to see people behave irresponsibly, as if they are the only ones living there.
If you feel confident that you can endure all of the issues I have described above, then this apartment may be an acceptable choice for you.
