I’m really disappointed with my experience at Park Place. We were assigned a roommate who was stealing from us, and when we reached out for help, management didn’t take any real action. It felt like our concerns were brushed aside, which was frustrating and honestly pretty discouraging. As college students, safety and support should be a priority, and in this situation, it didn’t feel like one. I hope future residents are treated with more care than we were.

The property is nice, but not worth all of the administrative hassles. The latest is that even after moving out in July, they continued to charge us for renter's insurance. Since we signed up for the insurance on their platform and did not even know the name or phone number for the insurance company, we assumed when you move out, your insurance ends. Not the case. I wonder how many former tenants are still being charged for renter's insurance? Buyer beware, this place is a money pit!

My son lived at Park Place for 3 years prior to graduation from UNR last May. A few days after his May graduation we helped him clean his room and remove all of his belongings from the common area. At this time there were 3 roommates living in the apartment.
He requested a walk thru at that time, but management advised that they do this when the lease term was up.
Fast forward to the end of August, we received a billing statement for $520 for multiple items, the largest being multiple bags of trash found in the
common area. The trash out charge was $250, assuming that was charged to each roommate, a total of $1000 for 5 bags of trash. $50 for a parking sticker that he forgot to remove from his vehicle and offered to send back (but they didn’t want it…Isn’t the point to HAVE the sticker?), several charges for pet damages (he doesn’t own a pet and those who did paid a pet deposit).
The email requesting these charges came with a deadline in which they would turn this over to collections. Since, as parents, we co-signed for the apartment, we didn’t want to have our credit rating affected, or our sons for that matter.
Be aware, management can allow anyone, including non-college students with significant behavioral issues to move into your students apartment and then hold you responsible for what those roommates do, or don’t do.
It’s all about money, filling rooms with anyone at their discretion and then charging exorbitant fees at move out.

Park Place in Reno has its strengths and its challenges. On the plus side, many residents praise its nice amenities, modern layouts, and good location. The staff often receive positive marks for being professional and responsive to general requests.
However, the complex isn't without its issues. Some tenants report thin walls, noise problems, and durability concerns—for the rent being charged, they expect better sound insulation and higher build quality. There are also stories of poor responsiveness to maintenance or complaints—things like leaks, blinds breaking, or management turnover causing inconsistent experiences.
Bottom line: Park Place has good bones and lots of appeal, especially for new or modern apartment hunters. But if privacy, quiet, and rock-solid management are important to you, you may want to ask questions and inspect carefully.

This place is a scam! They are completely unprofessional. They lease units without air conditioning and refuse to fix, communicate, or respond to calls or emails about fixing it! There’s NO air conditioner!!!!!!!!!! This is illegal. Instead of fixing it they’re ignoring the issue until it’s too cold for air but keep charging rent. They take advantage of their young residents. Andrew the accounts manager is incompetent! There’s been no air conditioning since moving in!
