First of all, I am tired of paying for a shared electric bill on common areas when the back portion of the apartment complex has been pitch black since the beginning of December! It is unsafe in a high crime area to the point that we cannot even see to unlock our apartment door at night! Why are we paying for something we DO NOT HAVE!! You all indicated you increased security due to this, but we NEVER see security at night, NOT EVER! The front 3/4's of the complex are well lit, but apparently we live in the Ghetto of the Ghetto section, so APPARENTLY YOUR COMPANY JUST DOES NOT CARE ABOUT US AT ALL!! When I asked maintenance, the extremely tattooed and unprofessional maintenance man was RUDE, AND BOTHERED THAT I HAD THE NERVE TO QUESTION WHY IT IS PITCH BLACK IN OUR SECTION AND WHEN IT WOULD BE FIXED. He has been rude and unprofessional since he started working her, but again, YOUR COMPANY COULD CARELESS HOW YOUR EMPLOYEES TREAT YOUR TENNANTS ~~WHO PAY FOR THEIR WAGES!! Next, the bugs are the tenants, and we are the bugs! No matter the fact that I clean extensively daily, due to the cracks in the foundation and walls, they come from the apartments next to us and below us. It is never ending, and we have been bitten by bed bugs, NOT FROM US, BUT THAT CAME CRAWLING UP THE WALL FROM BELOW US (WE WITNESSED THIS HAPPEN), AND THE ROACHES ARE RAMPANT!! The plumbing is terrible; the toilet has to be flushed several times to work, and the drains in the bathroom are all clogged. AGAIN WHEN MAINTENANCE WAS SENT TO ADDRESS IT, THE RESPONSE WE RECEIVED WAS THAT IT WAS AN OLD BUILDING AND THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE! I CALL BS ON THAT! WHO CARE HOW OLD IT IS===FIX IT!!!! And finally and most importantly, we have been charged $30 every single month since we renewed our lease for renter's insurance, when the lease we signed clearly states it should be $7.99. When it was addressed with the front office, the manager simply said, "YOU SHOULD GET YOUR OWN INSURANCE". The lease is a legal contract, that I had to call no less than 6x to have it corrected for incorrect information prior to resigning the lease, but the front office did not do their due diligence and review it for themselves. They have done nothing to change it, and basically said, "OH WELL" and for 6 months they have illegally overcharged!! THIS IS A BREACH OF CONTRACT!! I do intend on obtaining legal advice regarding the overcharge for insurance, as well as being charged for common area electric, WHEN WE HAVE BEEN IN THE DARK FOR 6 WEEKS NOW, SO YOUR COMPANY CAN SAVE A FEW DOLLARS ON EXPENSES!! i ALSO BELIEVE A LETTER TO HUD IS LIKELY IN ORDER AT THIS POINT. WE PAY OUR RENT ON TIME, WE DO NOT CAUSE PROBLEMS, AND YOUR COMPANY NEVER HELPS US WITH ANYTHING!! I should also mention that the balcony is leaning and DANGEROUS and literally shakes when there are low to mid winds....these buildings have NOT BEEN MAINTAINED AND THEY JUST CONTINUE TO PUT BAND-AIDS ON VERY VERY INFECTED WOUNDS, ONLY CAUSING MORE ISSUES, AND PUTTING YOUR TENNANTS IN HARM'S WAY!!! Just ridiculous! P.S. we paid for the pool amenity, BUT THE POOL WAS NOT OPENED UNTIL MID-SEPTEMBER, AFTER IT ALREADY HAD BEGUN TO GET CHILLY OUTSIDE AND WAS ONLY OPEN FOR A FEW WEEKS.....TOTAL THIEVES IN MY OPINION FOR WHAT WE PAY MONTHLY HERE!
