My partner and I decided to move across the country and leased our unit online. The process was rather simple and Esther who helped us, communicated very well and had great customer service. We’ve been living here a little over 5 months.
When it comes to pricing, I do believe that these units are quite reasonable, especially if you’re starting the renting journey or moving from a different state.
However, the kicker is all the additional fees, which I think should be quoted in the overall rent, and if not quoted in the overall rent, we should be able to opt out of all additional services if we choose. For example there is a trash valet, car parking, package service, admin billing, CMF (???) fees that are charged monthly with a few other one time fees.
The unit itself is very cozy and practical. Definitely a typical cookie cutter apartment style. The big issue is that these units are marketed as newly renovated….. I was glad that the office disclosed that our unit was not one of the newly renovated ones…. That wasn’t a problem but feels like a bait and switch. A few things needed to be touched up on, which wasn’t a big issue.
The general amenities are standard and kept in good shape. The onsite gym has a few options of standard equipment which fulfills one’s needs. The pool and play area are also quite nice.
The location is excellent with all amenities a short distance away. Walmart, 711, fast food and some dining restaurants are all in a 7-10 minute walking distance.
The neighbors seem to be ok. I’ve cultivated a few acquaintances but generally everyone keeps to their selves. A big issue are the dog owners who don’t pick up after their dogs. Little is done about this fact. There is a small dog park that gets occasionally cleaned, but generally anywhere with grass, you will find dog feces (poop). I believe if there were social events organized by the management team so that we could become more acquainted with our neighbors, we could then hold each other accountable for actions of these types.
The front office and maintenance staff are all quite friendly, inviting and helpful. I’ve never had an housing related issue that they weren’t willing to fix. In comparison to literally all the other apartment staff that I’ve encountered, they’re the best. A big shout out to Ester, Ricardo, Lea and Brandy!
Maintenance services has improved a lot since we moved and is an evident area that they are always improving on. Wait time has been greatly reduced.
