I lived here for around 6 years in two different apartments. The one pro is that the apartments aren’t terrible. The cons are these. Management (the people in the office) are terrible. If you have a maintenance request you can expect to wait weeks even months before anything is done about it. My car was broken into 4 different times. They have a security patrol but they do nothing but drive around. There’s constantly people digging through the trash bins. The maintenance people have no clue what they’re doing. I could go on and on but I’ll leave it at that. Rent at your own risk because the people who work there don’t care about the tenants at all.

I recently had a tour for this complex but there was "nothing available" when I went. The leasing office was decent, the gym is nothing extravagant, and the setup of the unit looked decent (I had to see a video tour instead). I'm giving Citrus apartments 2 stars for these reasons: 1.) I saw a considerable amount of poop around the back of the complex. People must go there since management must not attempt to go back there and look for themselves. I'm not sure if there's a groundskeeper or not, but if there is, I couldn't notice. Other complexes look WAY nicer than this, and if the exterior looks untidy, that could say a LOT about the interior. Again, I couldn't go inside a unit to see for myself, but based on what I saw, dirty units would not be surprising. 2.) The main reason I'm giving this complex a low rating is because of how I felt during my time in the leasing office. The person over the phone (I think it was "Mia" or "Nina", I forgot) was friendly; however, I can't say the same about Donna. When I was introducing myself along with my mom who accompanied me, she rolled her eyes when I pronounced my name (like "oh GREAT, another 'unique' name"). Not to mention the nonchalant/"I don't care" attitude she had throughout my short visit to the leasing office — INSTANT turnoff. I'm not sure if she had racist motives, but if that is the reason as to why she had an unpleasant attitude towards my mom and I, then I would not be surprised. For those of you that have to interact with Donna at any point, watch out — she probably won't care. I'm sure people find this place somewhat enjoyable and livable, but the way that management treated me speaks volumes. I DEEPLY consider how management acts before I move further with the application process — and unfortunately, Donna's impression was horrible and tanked my respect for the complex and made me not want to pay this complex a SINGLE dime. I will NOT be leasing here whatsoever and to those who do, best of luck (you'll need it).
