  I had the opportunity to work with Yancy Whittaker on a property search, resulting in a successful purchase of a piece of land in the Santa Fe area where my wife and I will build a home. He’d be my recommendation for anyone who needs a thoughtful, productive real estate broker in the Santa Fe area. Yancy took us on a journey of the county, for real. My wife and I really didn’t know what we wanted – and let Yancy know early on that we might be starting an unproductive exercise. Yancy was on board, patient and ready to help us dial in from a vague concept to selection and purchase. From online conference chats to figure out our needs, to an extended tour North to South around the city, we honed in on several good contenders and then "the one". Yancy kept an optimistic mindset, listened to ideas and never pressured. Yancy was quick and responsive in finding property information on neighborhoods and special covenants. He has a large network. He introduced us to local professionals, all of whom came through for us with extra assistance. Yancy brought his office team together for documents, organized timelines and smoothly walked us through the purchase process. It is clear that Yancy is a seasoned Santa Fe local pro and you’d have a solid partner with him in your corner.

  Because of Yancy our out-of-state purchase went more smoothly than imagined. From our first meeting, Yancy spent lots of time listening to our goals and wish list, then helped us narrow which properties to visit during our trip to Santa Fe. Yancy proved to be an invaluable source of information and advice, even connecting us with other local professionals to help us plan our future build.   Buying or selling a home can be a stressful process, especially if you don’t have a ton of experience with it. Feeling like you have somebody there with all of the information on hand or willing to go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need made the whole process seem like a breeze, and that’s just how Yancy operates.

  We sold our home and land in Santa Fe County in 2024. Yancy worked with us every step of the way. Our home of 29 years is on 2.5 acres of land with a solar array and carport with storage garage. We had deferred some maintenance on the home. After attempting to sell the home “as is” for a short period of time, Yancy recommended the Refresh and Refurbish Program offered through his company. The program enabled us to update and repair flooring, paint and appliances. The major focus was on the primary bathroom and kitchen which were very dated and worn. Yancy worked with project manager Peter Chandler to make this easy on us and make our home very marketable. We were able to sell the home for $65,000 more than the as is price. Throughout the process Yancy did a fantastic job of communicating regularly with us. He promptly followed up on all of our questions/issues and needs for clarification along the way. Yancy was always professional, friendly and great at problem solving. The most memorable part of working with Yancy was not just the excellent completion of needed tasks, but the manner in which he accomplished them. He brought joy and fun to what could have been an overwhelming process. We highly recommend the R&R Program and Yancy Whitaker to be on your team when you are selling your home. Yancy, through his diligence and expertise, is a most trusted real estate advisor and a great guy in our opinion.

  Our experience(s) with Yancy Whittaker and Coldwell Banker Mountain Properties have been excellent. This is the second time we have used Yancy for a real estate transaction in Santa Fe and his professionalism and perseverance are unrivaled. Yancy does a fantastic job of communicating with his clients throughout the entire transaction and is always makes himself available for consultations. I highly recommend!
