My girlfriend and I lived at high range village for nine months starting June 9th of last year. Overall our experience was very good and often, better than expected. This quality of life can be mostly, if not entirely, attributed to the two leading ladies in the rental office. Sonia and Connie are unparalleled in kindness, positive attitude and attentiveness. With high range being the first lease my girlfriend and I had ever committed to, we could not have been more fortunate to have someone competent and caring sitting across the table from us. The apartments are well laid-out, modest and comfortable with a wide variety of arrangements available to suit the needs of any individual. The maintenance crew was responsive and very friendly, and the grounds were often immaculate with dog poop bins scattered about the complex to mitigate the potential for land mines. For large holidays Sonia and Connie would throw seasonal parties with everyone in the complex welcome to attend. I keep going back to Sonia and Connie but, without their hardworking these apartments would not last. So, that's the good. The bad is short but worth mentioning. The pool was very dirty and was rarely free of hair, bugs and detritus and very frequently the hot tub was host to the same people night after night making utilization difficult. The rent is excessive for the area compared with the amenities. Especially when the tenant is expected to pay for trash, water, sewer and electric plus internet all on top of rent which was recently hiked up to I believe $620 per month. That's easily comes to $800 a month with utilities for a small, unrenovated complex that does not have refrigerated air. That price is ridiculous when next door(where we moved when out me lease was up) you can get a slightly smaller one bedroom apartment for $550 plus electricity, and that's it. I not sure what the owners of high range think they have to offer that can compete with the complexes around them, but it isn't much. Of course, I put none of this blame on Connie or Sonia. They just try to create a friendly environment you would want to live in, and the do a wonderful job. Also, do not expect to get you deposit back at all. Even with special discounts the owners charge $55 for shampooing the rug and, quite often "extra charges" are added to the point where we actually had to pay $15 in fees upon our moving out. Overall, a nice place to live, well managed, pricey for the area for what you get, no refrigerated air, decent amenities, nice area.
