Overall, good housing community. The company is fairly responsive and does an adequate job taking care of residents and homes. Maintenance teams are typically very friendly and help resolve issues as quickly as possible. The historic homes have some maintenance/aesthetic issues that need to be resolved but overall we've enjoyed living here. Scott Plaza area is a nice hidden gem and convenient for folks working on Ft. Dix side.

It was a pleasure working with Rebeckah Amburg. She was very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. She took very good care of our needs when it came to finding us a new home within this wonderful military community. Each time we reached out to her with questions, she always quickly responded to our inquiries. Rebeckah is awesome. Thank you! Denise and Joseph

I lived in Fort Dix housing for 2 years. It was housing for single military members. The house still had lead paint I was told was "incapsulated" by the new paint. I found this out my first week moving in when I discovered maintenance had let themselves in my house unannounced, as they chipped away samples of the trim borads to test for levels of lead. Its funny they showed up so willingly that time. Mostly getting maintenance to fo they're jobs was like pulling teeth. You had to tell them you're house was flooding for anyone to even show up. The rent steadily out paced BAH, because UC said "they were keeping up with the local housing market". Despite knowing full well active duty military have limited budgets and pay, and base housing is intended to be an affordable option. This in my opinion is blantly wrong, and a predatory business practice. When my contract ended as I got out of the military, UC attempted to charge my over 1,100 dollars for damages I wasn't responsible for. Like water damage for my kitchen that flooded due to incorrectly installed kitchen sink taps. That and they took they're time resolving the problem each time that happend (which was twice in case anyone was wondering). As well as organic matter in the air vents. Something that is maintenances duty to take care of. That is only to name a few thing's UC attempted to charge me as I transitioned out of the military. The over inflated rent wasn't enough apparently. One more fun fact the rent when I left was 2,195 for a two bed, one bath. The house itself I was told was built more 50 years ago, and was slated to be torn down. I kept the place nice and cleaned to the best of my ability before leaving. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND for anyone to rent for these people. They are a predatory business that capitalizes preying on our military members. You'd spend less money renting or buying off base. You'd get more privacy, and you'd live in a place that took maintenance orders seriously, with no complacent attitude at simply doing they're jobs. Had I been wiser I would've completely avoided this. If it wasn't abundantly clear already. Let me reiterate. UC is a poorly ran business. They mistreat and take advantage of our military members. I caution anyone at doing any business with these genuinely scummy people, and they're over priced, unmaintained houses. I hope this helps folks from making the some mistake I did. Do not trust these people!

Rebekah was amazing during our relocation. She kept an open line of communication with us from the time we were on the waitlist until after we moved in. This was one of the least stressful moves we have had because of her.
