  Came to visit a friend of mine I’m interested maybe renting with my sister, as I walking towards the elevator I saw dog poop almost stepped in it .Went back to the front entered the leasing office told them if I can speak to property management thy told me he was busy if it was the guy in the office yeah he looked real busy he was just looking at his phone. I told the guy about the poop he said he will take care of it. Went up to my friends apartment had second thoughts after that incident I got turned off.. Carpets have stains the hallways smelled I told my friend for the amount of money she pays not worth it. Asked her if management was the guy with glasses and she told me yes I told her he must bored if he’s on his phone she told me that’s how the property management is he does nothing about residents complaints . She said she will not renew her lease I would’ve been pissed if I moved in and she moved out. Glad I saw these problems before renting there.

  I am writing this as a former tenant who has now fully vacated The Sheffield and left the area entirely. I waited until I was safely removed from the situation to share my experience, because what I endured in this building was serious, destabilizing, and had lasting consequences for my physical and emotional well-being. From early on in my tenancy, I experienced discriminatory treatment, harassment, and a consistent lack of professionalism from management. At one point, my personal information was disclosed by a building employee to another tenant without my consent. Following that disclosure, I was subjected to sexually inappropriate behavior and harassment. This breach of privacy directly compromised my safety, and management failed to take meaningful action to protect me or address the situation responsibly. Over time, I was repeatedly spoken to and treated in a hostile and aggressive manner. What should have been a secure place to live became an increasingly unsafe and stressful environment. The sense of instability escalated rather than improved, despite efforts to seek help through proper channels. The eviction process itself was deeply traumatic. I was forcibly removed from my home in a manner that felt aggressive and violent, without regard for my safety, dignity, or well-being. In addition, due to unsafe conditions within the building, I sustained physical injuries and am currently undergoing medical treatment as a result. These injuries have had a tangible and ongoing impact on my health and daily life. The way management handled the aftermath only compounded the harm. Communication was dismissive, unprofessional, and lacking in accountability. At no point was there meaningful acknowledgment of the severity of what I experienced or the impact it had on me as a tenant and as a person. Despite being marketed as a “luxury” building, my lived experience was the opposite. The conditions, conduct, and management practices fell far below what anyone should expect from a property presenting itself at that level. After leaving, I reviewed other tenant feedback and observed recurring concerns (40+ current 1 star reviews on Google out of 104 reviews) that closely mirror many of the issues I personally faced. I am sharing this so current and future tenants can make informed decisions. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this building to anyone seeking safety, professionalism, respect for privacy, or responsible management.
