The building manager, Jeff Hagmann is one of the great benefits of living at The Ivy. He and the team are highly attentive and always exceed expectations on any and all of the tenants needs.

This five stars review is for the maintenance team, Jeff and Jon! We are one of the earliest tenants at the Ivy when it first opened in 2023. From day 1, Jeff (and also Jon, who came on board a little later) has been working diligently, efficiently and promptly to address any issue, both big and small. Most recently, they helped fixing a faulty circuit board for the washing machine. It’s important to note that a dryer is stacked on top of the washer. Jeff and Jon managed to remove the dryer and put in a new circuit board. The issue is fixed WITHIN HOURS! You would not meet another maintenance team who is so willing and so capable to go above and beyond. Other building super would have called in outside repairing vendors, which would take days (if not weeks) to fix the problem. This is our 4th year at the Ivy, I am still impressed by Jeff and Jon whenever I interact with them! They deserve more than the five stars allowed on Google review!

Great building and most of the neighbors are very friendly! The building has a big crew that are constantly making sure everything runs the way it should. Any maintenance issues, Jeff and John, are the A-Team! They know every inch of the building and are super nice and knowledgeable about any issues I’ve had. All the staff from leasing office, security staff, etc are all amazing! Love this building! One drawback is you can’t pan cook some things like steak or fish because the smell/smoke doesn’t ventilate well, but that’s just mainly apartment living.

Twice during the work week (Mondays and Thursdays), substantial noise occurs at about 4am due to garbage collection. In a residential community that maintains “quiet hours”, one would reasonably expect greater consistency between stated policy and actual practice. This appears to be a matter capable of practical resolution. Until addressed, it remains a significant and unnecessary disturbance seriously impacting the quality of life one expects at a luxury building.

I don’t live at The Ivy at Chatham, but I visit often because my daughter lives there, and I’ve spent enough time in the building to notice one issue that seems impossible to ignore. On multiple overnight visits, I’ve been woken up around 4:00 a.m. by the garbage pickup. The trucks and dumpsters are incredibly loud, and the noise carries through the property far more than you’d expect for a residential building. The first time it happened, I thought there was some kind of construction or emergency outside. What surprises me most is that this appears to happen during the building’s own quiet hours, which seems inconsistent with the standards residents are expected to follow. For a building that presents itself as upscale, waking residents and guests before dawn with garbage collection is a quality-of-life issue that management should address.
