- EEElizabeth4 days ago1.0Living at The Ivy at Chatham has one major issue that management has refused to address: garbage pickup occurs around 4:00 a.m. and is extremely loud. The trucks, dumpsters, and banging containers wake residents up regularly. What makes this especially frustrating is that this timing appears to fall during the building’s own quiet hours, which residents are expected to follow. It’s difficult to understand why management would allow a vendor to repeatedly violate the same quiet-hour standards that tenants are held to. This feels like a very solvable problem if management were willing to coordinate with the waste vendor and move pickup to a reasonable hour, but so far that has not happened. A bright spot is the maintenance team. Jeff, who leads maintenance, is excellent: professional, responsive, and clearly cares about the building. Unfortunately, good maintenance cannot offset being woken up at 4 a.m. twice a week by garbage collection. Until the trash pickup schedule is addressed, it’s hard to recommend living here.
