Not only is Michele the new property manager, but she has an extremely great personality who goes above and beyond for us tenants.

We’ve been here for 2 years and highly recommend this apartment complex. The apartment layouts are spacious, the rent is fairly priced and everyone has cute dogs. We appreciate the changes Michele has made with garbage management and adding fun events (especially cookie Monday!). The only real con here is the lack of guest parking. Most nights you can find a spot but it may be difficult to host multiple guests if they’re driving. There’s a nice walkway along the stream in the back with blue herons in the summer. It’s not far from some hiking trails and about a 5-10 minute drive from Somerville. All in all great place to live!

I have only been here a little over a year. Here are some pros and cons. The cons are on par with what you'll experience in any apartment community, and most have little to do with management.
Cons: Some neighbors throw buckets of dirty water off their balconies in the spring with no regard for their neighbors; and others don't follow the rules (garbage, smoking, kids running in units). Despite the great Butterfly MX system, half of the delivery folks don't follow instructions, so be prepared to hunt for your packages across three buildings. It's an older, but very charming community, so you'll hear "settling" noises from the pipes and walls, and some very "entertaining" conversations from your neighbors. And there's carpet in the bedrooms (which does nothing for the noise level if there are children or pets over your head and is a nightmare for pet owners). I wish we had a choice on flooring. I also wish all of the gyms had the same equipment. I don't want to go to another building to use a treadmill. With the exception of the balcony issue, you'll see most of these issues in any apartment community.
Pros: With the exception of neighbor antics, the community is quiet and set back from the main road. I love hearing the fireworks from the stadium over the holidays. ShopRite is just outside of the complex. I came from a building where the fire alarms went off weekly in the middle of the night. In the past year, it's only happened twice that I recall (contractor errors during the day). All of the rooms are a great size, and I love having a separate den for work as well as a storage closet on the balcony! Being from NYC where a unit this size would easily be $5K a month, the rent is fair (but we could live without increases without comparable upgrades). My utility costs are decent. Management hosts a variety of tenant events every month and over the holidays, they gave very thoughtful gifts (I have never gotten gifts from management outside of move-in). My interactions with the office staff and maintenance have been good so far. The outdoor spaces are great. If you've got a view of the walking trails, it's a blessing (especially when it snows, or the deer are out). Thankfully, there are no pest issues inside the units (I saw one spider last summer and nearly went to Glory), but there are some weird looking bugs due to the wooded areas. Occasionally, they'll land on the balcony (which freaks me out), along with birds - which entertains the pets. I just have to figure out how to explain the reality of glass doors to my cats....
Overall, I'm happy with the experience so far. Having neighbors who follow the rules is a crapshoot anywhere you go. Management could be stricter. If there are no real and enforced consequences, there is no cooperation.
If I could do it again, I would, but I would opt for a top floor unit. I swear I'll stay longer if we can do away with the carpets! LOL!

Wve been there for 5 years . The 2 years out of the 5 years was great . Living well Emarald was the best management I've ever met . Livingwell residents was the worst . FIRE GINA she was always rude when it comes to money . She made our lives HELL was always on time with rent . She always emailed me for our parking spot every couple months and not the garage s due to both side gates were broken for 4 year s since and still is. She has her guest s parked in the empty spots even at one point mine . She never there in the office I walked in snow and 100 degrees weather was never there .Alway s had trouble paying off the portal .We left due to rental increase . She gets very court happy Beware of her . She was fired before and not sure why they brought her back . Instead of her making inevents everymonth try to keep up with tentant s. That have questions . She never answers the phone in office . always ask for a ledger every month to save yourself . Zevi and yossi is the goto person if you need help . There the best . Also she over crowds people in her appartment it's a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom have 5 people plus 2 toddler s and pets . Where do they stick everyone . I complained 1 time to a neighbor about there garbage . GINA Told them and was harrasing me .she waited until we moved out it was supposed to be confidential. She started drama . The tentant left me nasty messages on my voice-mail. being really nasty to me .they put there garbage out too early and they were home in a 100 degrees weather stinking up our hallway they know the rules and regulation s the office sends you the schedule every month holiday s no pick up. We gave our 90 days notice Gina sent us the forms to vacate She unwrongfully tried to evict us that were the security deposit comes in they actually owe us more money .BEWARE of Gina so embarrassing . She accepted our checks during holidays was a mess no one in the leasing office . Im not ashamed of expressing myself to the community just warning everyone .Was locked in elevator for a couple of minutes it's scary knowing building 3 has 1 elevator . Disabled people on walkers and wheelchair s couldn't have access to elevator fire department had to shut down the elevator it took them 4 days or more to have them fix it. Don't put Disabled people on 3rd and 4th floor I hope they improve they need to update appliances never change them .don't know how long you had them due to last tentant in your unit . That's why our pse&g bill was so high . I hope they improve the complex it's ashamed it's not luxury the money you pay . Sad to leave it was for the best . God bless all ..Hopefully it will improve
