I visit a friend who lives here and come by fairly often. I actually considered moving here because the area itself is beautiful and the community has a lot going for it. However, the potholes in the driveway and internal roads are a serious issue. They are extremely large and deep — far beyond normal wear and tear — and they make entering the property difficult even when driving very slowly. Driving through the entrance honestly feels like navigating a maze trying to avoid them. I find myself zig-zagging around the driveway just to try to protect my car, and even then I still end up hitting some of them because there’s no clear path around them. Multiple times I’ve scratched my bumper and rims while going under 10 mph just trying to drive in. It’s not just frustrating — it’s also dangerous, since drivers are forced to focus on weaving around potholes instead of simply driving safely through the property. What’s disappointing is that this seems like a longstanding maintenance problem that hasn’t been addressed, despite how severe the potholes are. The property and surrounding area are otherwise very nice, but the road conditions seriously take away from the experience and should be repaired as a priority.

This is a great place to live! Cozy apartment living, beautiful woods and lots of places to walk my 2 Golden Retrievers! Chris and Karen in the office are terrific and the maintenance staff, Dave etc. are excellent. We love it here.

Really nice and quiet apartments. Facility is well managed. Karen was really helpful with my questions during the house tour and the application process.

If you have any other option on where to live, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I signed a lease for 1.5 years. During my time at Bay Ridge, I received a “final payment notice” after 8 months of being there, even though there was still 9 months left on my lease. They said it was a “misunderstanding” and fixed it. You have to pay $20 per car to park, but there’s no assigned parking. I’d regularly come home super late from work and have to park around the corner and walk in the dark to my apartment. Residents regularly leave the front doors open so anyone can just walk in. The buzzards to my apartment had the lines crossed with another apartment and I’d be woken up at all hours due to someone else having their button pushed but mine going off. Maintenance couldn’t fix the issue, so the resolution was to unplug mine completely, which then meant anytime I had people over, I’d have to walk downstairs to let them in. The walls/floors/ceilings are EXTREMELY thin. You will hear work calls, fights, steps, your upstairs neighbor PEEING because of how thin the walls and ceilings are. If you live below someone, they will sweep everything off their balcony onto yours. Residents also leave the doors to the floors open because they’re too lazy to open and close it when going to walk their dogs, which causes the halls/apartments to get extremely cold during the winter months. The community also regularly gets emails about people not cleaning up after their dogs so you’re forewarned about dog poop being all over the place. The cost of the overflowing dumpsters will change monthly. Sometimes up to $30+. All for you to find a dumpster around the community you can fit your trash into. When I asked the office how the cost is fluctuating so drastically, I was told the cost of the dumpsters went up, however maintenance said they’re sitting on a ton of empty apartments. Needless to say, they split the cost amongst the residents who live there. The same goes for utilities. I moved out 5 months early (but continued to pay rent/utilities) and the water and sewage usage was always up even though nothing had been used for month’s. Moving out has been the biggest headache and the worst experience I’ve ever had to deal with. The “luxurious” apartment can’t seem to catch up with the times and when you move out, if you’re there shorter than a month and owe less than your monthly rent, your entire monthly rent is still posted and you’re told what you owe +utilities and just to pay that, however, they don’t tell you a late fee will be placed on your account until everything is reconciled, which no one will tell you how long that takes either. Getting answers and information after they have your money is nearly impossible. I waited days for responses from the front office and finally went to corporate to get a response and then the front office was quick to respond. They’ll text and email you asking for 5 stars (which some of recent ones on here are from the office staff), but won’t respond to actual questions. You’ll get texts about your “past due” balance at move out even though you don’t actually owe anything. My forwarding address was provided for my security deposit. When I questioned where my deposit was, after more than 30 days after moving out and confirming my address again, I was told the address that it was sent to didn’t have my apartment number on it. The check had to be voided and reissued. It took over 2 months from my lease ending to finally receive my deposit back. I question how this apartment can slap “luxury” on its name when it’s everything but. The prices are insane for what you get. I’ve lived in “luxury” apartments before and the quality is 1000x better and at the same cost. High costs and poor management. The photos online are also super enhanced to seem nicer than what you actually get. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. *The only 1 positive thing I will say is maintenance has always been super nice and helpful. They answer service requests within a day and are always respectful.

If I could give them a 0 star review I would. The place was dirty and uncleaned when we moved in and spotless when we left and they still charged us $160 for a cleaning fee on the way out. The management and communication is terrible. I called 6 times trying to see about options for renewing the lease and left a message everytime but never heard back so when I told them we were not renewing 1 day late they charged us $120 for late notice. (not to mention they were raising our rent $150 dollars in the middle of a pandemic) The WORSTT apartment complex I have ever lived in by far. So glad to be out. Anyone considering this apartment complex reconsider!
