One of the better properties to rent from in the area. Great location for stores, restaurants, etc., and right next to the highway. Also very safe. Jonathan is the best, always friendly and professional and quick to answer questions. Our apartment itself and the main lobby are great to look at, well furnished and decorated. My unit had a balcony overlooking the skyline of the city, which was great to sit out on and have drinks. Grills aren't allowed for safety reasons which I get, but it would have been great to be able to barbecue on the balcony. Parking is never an issue with tons of spots, and the gym is great with all sorts of weights and treadmills. It's a shame there's no pool though. Clearing dead leaves, snow, etc., was efficient, though the parking lots often have potholes all over. Our neighbors were polite and friendly, and the walls appear to be well insulated for sound. No noise complaints from us at all. I took a star off the rating for 2 reasons. First is the price. It's steep for what it is, but rent is outrageous everywhere now so that's to be expected. And second, my wife and I lived here for 3 years and had the misfortune of several of our appliances breaking all in a short time frame, some more than once, and we feel the replacements were rather cheap. The elevators had frequent problems in my experience. And the air conditioning towers often weren't running early enough in the warmer seasons, making our apartment way too hot at times. Overall, this is a great complex to rent from. You could certainly do far worse than here. Recommended and I'll miss this place!

How does a large apartment building like this not even provide proper trash/recycling disposal? The ONLY option is the stuff stuff into a kitchen sized trash bag that needs to fit down a shoot. When asked what I’m supposed to do with broken down boxes i got a blank stare like I’m sorry what? Large deliveries like furniture literally get turned away by the guy downstairs. And don’t get me started on the actual condition of the building/units. Don’t waste your money!

Just moved out of there and thank god I did! The new property manager Samantha, has no clue how to do her job, constantly contradicting herself and HORRIBLE people skills!!! I enjoyed living there when the old property manager was there but this girl came in on her high horse thinking she’s something special. I would advise for her to take management courses so she can do her job a lot better than she does now. As long as she’s there I WOULDNT RECOMMEND this place to anyone!

Terrible management, the air conditioning in the gym has been broken for over a year, we were given multiple excuses/ promises from multiple managers from it will be looked into to it can’t be turned on until May when the building AC turns on. Once May rolled around we asked again and they informed us that it was broken and they were simply not going to fix it and had no idea when they would get around to it. Before renewing our lease in March and having our rent increase we wanted to make sure this issue would be resolved as we are all regular gym goers and working out in an 80degree room with no windows is less than ideal. We were assured it would be taken care of and have since been written off with management saying to be great full that last month they put in the free weights we asked for, when the only reason we asked about them was because when we toured the place a year and a half ago the manger told us they were getting more. ****UPDATE 2 MONTHS LATER, AIR CONDITIONING STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED, I BELIEVE WE HIT 80 IN THERE AND WAS HUMID LAST WEEK. STILL WAITING ON THE FANS MANAGEMENT SAID THEY ADDED 2 MONTHS AGO. AND TO ABSOLUTELY NO ONES WHEN I INQUIRED A COUPLE WEEKS AGO THEY ALSO SAID THAT IN THE PAST COUPLE DAYS THEY HAD DECIDED NOT TO IN FACT MOVE THE GYM LOCATION(SORRY BUT NOBODY BELIEVED THAT EXCUSE, JUST A WAY TO PROCRASTINATE ACTUALLY DOING ANYTHING) STILL GETTING THE RUN AROUND FROM MANAGEMENT*** ***DO NOT MOVE IN HERE IF YOU PLAN ON USING ANY OF THE ADVERTISED AMENITIES ***

My husband and I have been living at Carisbrooke for almost a year now, and we love it! The apartments are dead quiet- you can't hear your neighbors at all- which is a HUGE plus for us. The kitchens are roomy with lots of storage and counter space, and the appliances are updated. The bathroom is also very large. We really like having a little balcony, and though our apartment faces Second Street, it's still surprisingly quiet. The windows and sliding door are very well insulated. We also can have both a dog and a cat here, which was very hard to find! My husband and I also work in Merrimack and Concord respectively, and this complex is literally 500ft from the 293 on ramp, so it's 20 minutes to each city. Carisbrooke is also close to Elm Street, South Willow, and Bedford shopping areas, and right in front of the complex is an Applebee's, a Wing Stop, a Little Caesars, and a sushi place- not to mention all of the other restaurants on Second St., Main St., and Elm- so if you're feeling lazy for dinner there are plenty of options. We're also very close to Market Basket, Hannaford's, and Whole Foods. We have only had a few maintenance issues so far, and it hasn't been anything out of the ordinary. The requests are always taken care of quickly and the maintenance team is awesome! They're always willing to answer questions and help out. The building manager is also very nice and helpful, and has been wonderful to us while we've lived here. The people who live in this building are also great, everyone has been very nice. There are also a lot of friendly dogs here which is an incentive in my book! The only downside is the price, which is to be expected as it's a great place with so many perks. We'd really like to renew our lease but we're not sure if we'll be able to afford it as we won't be renewing with a roommate and rent prices recently increased. Electricity in the summer was also pretty high, with the living space being so large, it takes a lot to cool it. I'm giving 5 stars anyway because all in all we've been highly, highly satisfied with living here! Hopefully we'll be able to hang around for a while longer.
