- KTKatie TidwellAug 6, 20253.0I lived at Tanglewood for 1 year. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: Spacious apartments with great natural light. Great gym and good pools. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Good location close to several stores and restaurants. Always felt like a safe area. Friendly neighbors. Excellent large balcony and lots of storage space. Cons: Garage issues: I had to Uber or find a ride to work 3 times throughout one year due to my garage door not opening while my car was inside. Maintenance fixed it within 1-2 days each time. I had several other maintenance issues, all of which were fixed promptly, however some were not fixed well. For example, my patio door lock would stick and the door sometimes opened on its own on windy days leading to high electricity/gas bills. The problem was recurring after multiple maintenance visits. Lastly, the parking spaces in front of my building were severely torn up, leading to puddles, ice, and cracks that were easy to trip on. Overall I was satisfied with this apartment for one year. My unit had lots of space and was quiet. The age of the buildings and garages likely caused the maintenance problems. A bit of updating and replacing old parts would help this place a lot.
