  BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE OUT. When we moved out at the end of our year long lease, we had hired a professional carpet cleaner and cleaned the apartment ourselves. We did not fight the $400 charge to patch and repaint the walls, since we hung stuff up during our lease, but that seemed like a steep price to us since we did not put holes in the wall bigger than a nail to hang pictures. But the $500 they charged us to REPLACE the carpet, we did fight. When we reached out to discuss it with the Property Manager, we were told we'd receive a call back (two separate times), which we never did. Instead, she sent an email with pictures with no offer to further discuss the security deposit. When I responded to that asking why we weren't told about the carpet being replaced when I had reached out 3 times to her since our lease had ended and heard nothing, she decided to contact her boss and have her email us instead of handling the issue herself or simply calling us back. The carpet was replaced without any notice to us and with no option to have the company we used return to re-clean the carpets. It was only after the fact that they had told us it was being replaced and sent over pictures of the reasons for it to be replaced (another attached picture). This place is very nice looking on the surface, but it was not worth the headache.

  From the start of dealing with this company and affiliates Eric Christensen it has been a nightmare. I first lived in a property of theirs that has parking managed by interstate parking. A confrontation with an employee affiliated to Kilbourne had taken place. After this when I moved into Kessler after promising me a parking spot they told me I couldn’t have one because of a confrontation in a parking ramp they down even own. I practically had to beg him for a spot. They finally gave me one and upon sending me a bill for 2 months I called them repeatedly and never got an answer back and also emailed them asking if I could email an electronic check. They used this opportunity to cancel my parking spot. After this I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle for the summer until recently the crime and violence in downtown Fargo has got bad and my vehicle has been vandalized multiple times. I called Eric this morning and as usual it goes straight to voicemail. I decided to call from a different number and surprisingly was picked up by Eric. I asked him right away why he would have my number blocked and he paused and hesitated and said how can I help you. I asked him if he could view footage on cameras and get back to me if he noticed anything unusual. He told me I needed a police report which I am in process of. I never asked for the footage but rather if he seen something so the police were not on a wild goose hunt. I’ve never met the man as he hides behind a computer screen and phone but he definitely plays as if he owns the company. I have attached the email I sent regarding paying my parking that was never responded to and I’ve also got phone logs of how many times I’ve reached out. Regardless, I would say be careful renting this apartment as it smells like people are smoking and the stuff happening outside, inside their building is despicable. I would never consider letting my college kid rent here. Instead of worrying about a single dad with a 4 year old trying to park his car somewhere safe I’d highly suggest they screen tenants better and try to stop the drug use that’s going on in and around their buildings.
