- JBJoseph BNov 1, 20251.0DO NOT BUY FROM OAKWOOD HOMES IF YOU WANT A HOME THAT WILL LAST LONGER THAN A YEAR. Bought a home from Oakwood homes of Wilmington a little over two years ago. While we had a laundry list of things they needed to repair, they beat around the bush with the critical repairs (ie. the floors and plumbing.) they continued to either not reply to emails/phone calls or claim someone would be out to fix the issues until our warranty expired. Now here we are, two years down the line with our plumbing literally falling apart. (Pretty sure that’s not normal wear and tear.) Oakwood will be hearing from lawyers down the road regarding these issues as we continue to document everything.
