A few weeks into living in our house we started tripping breakers in our kitchen. It turned out that our fridge was not on a dedicated line causing a breaker to trip when we used small kitchen appliances. This is allowed by code, but best practice is to put the fridge on its own breaker. To fix this we had to add another breaker to our electrical panel. We compromised with Ryan to use their electrician, and we paid the electrician at Ryans rate. We paid for the repair, but not as much as we would have paid to get an electrician on our own. Ryan also took care of all the minor repairs after the electrician finished. An equitable way to solve a difficult problem. Thank you, Ryan.

This community is wonderful because of the people but the house has problems, the HOA is awful and the company has been difficult to deal with since we signed. We bought because there were less options at the time. We have had so many issues with the house including cabinets not attached to the walls, heat not working, flooding water and more. The company always skirts an issue. With our cabinet the guys said oh we don’t have the right screw for it but we can use this, it should be ok. The HOA is inconsistent and slow to respond. There seems to be no standards here. The common areas were so much smaller than expected as was the pool and playgrounds. Not sure why we pay so much in fees. The options in the house were also inconsistent. Some people got upgrades as “standard” while others pay and what is offered is different per stage. After talking to home owners, we have become very dissatisfied. We also could never get a hold of Ryan Homes after we signed. The office staff never took or returned calls and our project manager’s videos rarely showed progress. This was frustrating because we were out of town. Their communication was awful. You need to come check progress daily on your house. We thankfully came down and checked out our house a few times and pointed out beams that were not installed properly or broken and a beer can in our house! We now see they slap these houses up so fast that it’s no wonder they have issues. Look around, there are better builders.
