  We went to Clayton Homes today in Sanford NC and I was not impressed. The houses were great. But the customer service was not. Kristie acted like we were bothering her and I’ve never been to a business where they were not eager to sit you down to help you. She acted like I was supposed to do everything. I asked her if she could call the lady at Vanderbilt homes with our financing while I was there and she said yeah you can call her. I wanted to let them know which house we wanted so she could let us know a payment. We were already conditionally approved. So half the battle had been done. But she didn’t act like she wanted to sell me a home so we went to another dealer and bought our home same day. You won’t sell houses like this Clayton Homes of Sanford.

  I’ve had nothing short of a great experience with Clayton homes. I am currently in the construction phase, awaiting for my home to be put on my land. But I have had the pleasure of working with Jason Burgess and he is awesome. I am a first time homebuyer so it can be very overwhelming and nerve wrecking but Jason helped me through the whole process. He constantly reassured me and I felt safe working with him. I highly recommend working with Clayton Homes of Sanford if you’re looking for a great first home.

  Sales staff though friendly did not fully disclose certain things before I went out to look at a lot they had for sale. When I came back from looking at it then I was told all additional costs involved. Why tell me after driving 1 hour round trip why not tell me upfront and not waste my time. Then the sales lady told me to try and get financing. I knew I wouldn't qualify but she insisted I try really pressured me into it. So she started the process and sure enough I didn't get it. The lot I really wanted they said I couldn't have because I wanted to purchase a single wide and they only were allowing a double wide. I could have it if I bought one that big. Unfortunately my overall experience left a bitter taste in my mouth but I am very grateful I did not go with them because I went to the BBB and found many very bad reviews about how quickly the homes fall apart and how the company does not stand by their work. Check out reviews on BBB. If you are interested in buying a mobile home definitely do your homework before buying!!!!!
